Rumor: NinjaBee disc compilation releasing this fall [update]

Jul 27th 2009 10:32PM (Joystiq)
It is a known bug since before Dec '08. I talked to the CEO about it. He said that they intended to patch it, but not to get my hopes up. As far as I am concerned the game is essentially defective. Too bad, it is my favorite NinjaBee game.

Update:

Just visited the forums for the last time in a few months.

"We are wrapping up the title update now and that should fix any freezing issues there are. I don't really have a timeframe for it, but maybe just a couple more weeks?"

DS Daily: On preventing piracy

Dec 11th 2008 11:20AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I really don't think anything should be done. Piracy has financial benefits for all media industries involved. Piracy should be considered as an additional marketing channel.

It can easily show what overseas games people in other countries are interested in. It helps critically acclaimed but poorly marketed games come to prominence. It also shows how will prefer to consume media. Wouldn't you rather have a single cart with dozens of games on it than the elaborate system we with multiple carts have now?

I find it interesting that the DSi has an SD slot. I wonder where they got that idea?

I would be willing to bet that the Chrono Trigger remake owes its very existence to people playing the illegal rom on emulators and seeing how good it is. Same goes for Mega Man 9 and other retro inspired games.

Wii Warm Up: Taking advantage of a sale

Oct 14th 2008 8:27AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Wii points were sold out at 5 local Toys R Us stores for me as well. No Perfect Shots either.

A couple of months ago I picked up Zack and Wiki for $9.98. More recently I grabbed Blast Works at BB for $10, No More Heroes at Amazon for $16, Midway Pinball for $13 and Geometry Wars last Sunday at TRU for $9.98.

It has been a good season.

Gosen: 60% of Wii Fit purchasers played it 'once'

Ah, it appears he has swallowed the kool-aid. 60 seems like a nice round number. I would love to see the size of their data sample.

Would be nice to compare those stats to bowflex usage. :)
