@Alex Oglitchkin Oh, heavens no. Farmville has NOTHING on Harvest Moon, and if you think Farmville and HMO would be basically the same game then you don't get Harvest Moon. I mean no offense. Some people can play FPS online for hours on end, for days at a time (weeks or months even). I do like FPS but as SP, or MP via LAN with friends (a la the old days of Doom, Doom 2, and Quake) , but online FPS are simply not my cup of tea. To each their own.
Maple Bacon Ice Cream is a wickedly delicious treat IF it's made properly using first class ingredients. This is a $2.99 sundae from Denny's. You do the math.
@ Ripper McGee, you said you might pay $25-30/month for your family of five to play. Currently a 12-month subscription is just $60, or $5 per month. So for $300 your whole family can, quite literally, play the game for just $25/month.
I would agree with you re: grouping & combat. When I run around with my 8 y/old son we have to "jump into" each other's battles. Being able to group would be very advantageous to us, likewise players fleeing a battle should despawn the monster they brought in with them, or another monster if "their monster" has already been killed.
W101 is no WoW, but it's good enough and cheap enough that I willingly let my WoW subscription lapse this past week, and instead bought two 12-month subs to W101.
Engineering is not profitable? As Fulcran said, at the top Engineering is a very profitable pseudo-gathering profession.
I had quite a few of the Mats I needed to power level Engineering on my lvl 30 Druid. I still needed to purchase a few items so it ended up costing him approx. 100g to get to 225, but I've more than recouped my cost by selling Accurate & Deadly Scopes, as well the Tin & Iron Ore I've Mined which I no longer need.
Engineering only costs a fortune to level if you don't plan ahead and instead buy all the Power Leveling Mats on the Auction House.
"There are 2 additional slots in the stable..." is NOT the same as "We're adding 2 additional slots to the stable".
Even if Blizz do add 2 more slots it's not enough. Too little, too late.
I have a Ravager, my RFK Pig, and an STV Tiger. I could say goodbye to the Ravager, no problem, but not the Tiger and Pig. And then I'd like to get a Gorilla, and a Ghost Cat from the ruins in Darkshore. And a Dragonhawk. And a Devilsaur.
That's 6 Pets, still too many for Wrath's yet-to-be-seen increased Stable. What's the point of allowing us to tame "Exotic Pets" if we can't keep them?
It's all moot because I won't be buying Wrath, anyway. I'll just cancel my WoW sub and buy two copies of D3 for my son and I instead.
Perhaps I missed it, but I didn't see anything in the Patch Notes about increasing the number of Stable Slots. Yes, after four years this is still an important issue to some Hunters.
