I know this announcement last night made me update my client and log back in to see what was going on...looking forward to the future

@Tuza update...FFXIV lead game designer, combat system designer, lead programmer, and lead artist are all from FFXI....i'll take that as great news =D

So how about that email us FFXIV players got? reorganized development team, unlimited free trial until further notice...is this bad news or great news? anyone from the FFXI team?

Picking it up on my lunch break today, patch it up when I get home, and hopefully get a few hours in before I have to fly off to NY for the weekend.

They ship MMOs as finished product? What's with all the content patches then?

Before you SLI/crossfire GPUs together, double check to make sure FFXIV is supporting that, because last I checked, they weren't, yet, but would offer support later on. Ive heard on the forums of some people forcing it but that gave them worse results than just running off of one card.

I have 2 nvidia 9800gtx's in sli and yearn for the day i can really use them. /sigh

Those people who will migrate from WoW to FFXIV will be the same people who know the basic concepts of video games. They'll also know how to read tooltips for moves, so they can figure out what uses TP/MP and what doesn't. Spending a night figuring out things for yourself will get you further than reading this guide.

Though, those people who will not consider migrating away from WoW could probably use this guide. But, they're not migrating.
