Warhammer 40K Space Marine review: The smarter side of slaughter

Fantastic game. To those postponing their purchase, though, be aware that the multiplayer component will cost you if you purchase a used copy. So buy it new and support Relic :)

Japanese hardware sales, August 8 - 14: Oh wait, never mind edition

Aug 22nd 2011 12:35AM (Joystiq)
So I'm almost assuredly getting one this weekend, but I do have a question for current owners; there's still a lot of DS games like Dragon's Quest and whatnot I want to play-- how bad is it playing DS games on the 3DS?

Rise and Shiny recap: Faxion Online

I think the total time between install and uninstall on this one was around an hour. There are just too many alternatives out there now to spend time forcing myself into a game.

Interested to try this, still looking for my next MMO home.

I love that I see a 30 second bounty commercial before a one minute clip.

Cool. I enjoyed playing this the first go-round. Thanks for the key!

Hellgate Global ramps up its web presence, new trailer released [Updated]

@Tom in VA Diablo with guns, mostly- the RPG part is talent trees. It should never have had a paid subscription model. One of the main problems with this game was that it couldn't justify that monthly fee. Should have gone the Guild Wars route, but oh well.

Toward the end there was a buildup to a mythical patch (1.2 i think) that was going to address a laundry list of issues, but it never made it off the test server before the lights went out. The game had some potential, I had fun with it while it lasted.

Enter at Your Own Rift: One month in, how's the game?

Mar 28th 2011 10:11PM (Massively)
I'm enjoying the game immensely. The PvP is full of awful, foul-mouthed children, and I question the wisdom of allowing the other faction to speak to you through /say and /yell... but otherwise, it's been a really fun month. I'm looking forward to the event coming next week.

It's not the Second Coming, but it'll do fine until The Old Republic :)

The Daily Grind: Have you ever bought gold?

Mar 12th 2011 7:22PM (Massively)
@Clemalum07 Yep. I can't take the moral high ground on this issue-- the one and only time I bought gold was to get money for the epic mount in vanilla WoW. I weighed spending 15 bucks against spending a week doing nothing but grinding to get it, and at the time I didn't realize that the gold also came from compromised accounts. I wouldn't do it again, both because of that and because I've learned to just enjoy the games I play rather than get caught up in getting more.
