BioWare updates fans on staggered SWTOR launch

Dec 15th 2011 11:14AM (Massively)
@eLdritchZ please give examples of why this is not smooth. I've been playing since Day 1 and I've not had crashes, lag, loot problems, crafting problems, I've not even had problems in the first Flash Point. The zones aren't over run and I can get my quests done while still meeting people and seeing people do their thing. There's even people forming groups for Flash Points with ease & the Auction House works. Infact I've yet to run into anything broken.

Star Wars: The Old Republic early access starts today

@iceveiled You shouldn't have an issue..all the servers as of 3pm est are still Light with a few at Standard. They're sorted by Type and Time Zone and population not to mention they spread the big pre registered guilds out and they've started with all the servers up and running instead of some of the disaster attempts by other games to simply release one or two servers at a time.

@RogueJedi86 Everyoen is supposed to be in by the 15th. They're letting in a wave of people ever 30 mins to an hour. The eariler you registered your code the sooner you get in. I got in on the first wave but then I pre ordered and registered my code with in 6 hours of it going on sale on Amazon in July (7 am in the morning est).

@zlickrick You don't get selected for Early Access you have to Pre order the Game and register a Game Code that would of been given to you by the retailer.

Allods Online Producer leaving Gala-net

Sep 29th 2010 8:09PM (Massively)
Well atleast he's getting out and going to another company...so that when whats left of their community goes nuts at the next patch the new people can feel the burn.

Allods = dead to me...may that game burn in hell for luring me in and then punching me in the face with ridiculous changes.

...omg...I mean I always knew it was coming with all the dev's they'd been hiring up in Atlanta where white wolf / ccp offices are but..still....I'll be like dancing between SWTOR and Vampire the Masquarade....granted I played the guard game more than the pen and paper..but still! ...Nerdgasm!

Dream a little dream of Allods Online's patch 1.1.02

Sep 24th 2010 7:36PM (Massively)
And still no repeal of the damaging changes from Patch 1.1 .... no thanks! I mean hell when I look at the forum boards..90% of the people are all new faces...or completely clueless boobs really who will throw their money away on crap.

Allods R.I.P. (dead to me atleast) just another really bad greedy cash shop game.

Free for All: Turbine's pristine payment plan perfects pay-to-win

Sep 15th 2010 4:49PM (Massively)
Just curious how the article writer can call DDO close to a Pay to Win game because of PVP. Who the hell actually PVPs in DDO...DDO's pvp is completely pointless and serves no purpose other than a way to duel against your friends and get killed and have to pay repair bills.

Pretty much every single item on the DDO cash shop other than xp boosts and loot boosts, rez items, and rest shrines are available in game for free. The most a player may need to pay for is new content which is just like any P2P game. Hell they dont even have to buy it if their friend has a money to buy them guest passes.

I'm not sure the writer here understands the term pay to win. Sure you could buy the highest level stat tome, you could xp boost your way to lvl 20 quickly but you can't BUY the best gear or even alot of the necessary gear from the shop. You can F2P your way through the game and get most of the best items in game without ever spending a dime (just not the raid items).

Captain's Log: Did Cryptic betray the spirit of Star Trek?

Sep 9th 2010 4:21PM (Massively)
all this article did was affirm my dislike for STO, CO, and any game Cryptic makes. If they'd of not released 2 shoddy games within months of each other they wouldn't have nearly as much hate thrown at them as they do. Plus atleast one of their games would of been far more polished.
