I have a journalism background, and please let me remind you of one thing that's as true today as it was when the first gossip was whispered into the first cupped ear: stories about sex and crime fascinate people. Is it nice? No. But it's true. And the fact that Tiger Woods and Amanda Knox hold the public's fascination while the healthcare debate and the ongoing wars don't is further proof of that.

News about the healthcare debate, the economy, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will affect Americans more, for longer, with greater consequences than Tiger Woods or Amanda Knox will ever affect Americans. They are also depressing and confusing stories that nobody wants to think about. Also not nice, but also true.

Rather than revisit a 230-year-old argument (which is moot at this point, by the way, in case you haven't been keeping up with current events), this is one of the funniest comments I've read on this site or anywhere online in a while. Pure. Win. I salute you, sir.

I'm a big fan of Nyhm's stuff, but I found this to be one of his weaker efforts. The music was grating, and Gigi's voice work just wasn't there. And, yes, I agree with the author that using a female Blood Elf as lead character in machinima has worn very, very thin.

(I was pleasantly surprised by the "casting" of a female Troll in "Hard Like Heroic" and thought it worked, even if her voice wasn't *quite* up to par. And the choice of "Bad Touch" aka the Discovery Channel song was a bit outdated.)
