ZAM opens up a full database for RIFT

@Apakal

I've got a username - don't know why not showing up. I posted the first one. Hopefully my username shows up in this one.

Before thinking there's someone out there just spamming accounts, why not trust that people - gasp - have had legitimate hacking incidents and the only common thing is that site?

ZAM opens up a full database for RIFT

@meanieme

meanieme is actually right on the money with this one. I never visited the site before RIFT, but they had a talent tree calculator I used to build my character. So other than the actual RIFT site this was the only other place I went for RIFT stuff.

Wouldn't you know it, but last week my account was hacked and everything stolen from my bags. The only thing they left me with was quest items they couldn't sell and the stuff on my back. Luckily the GMs got my stuff back, so all is good.

So do I think he's right when he says they put tracker stuff in their site? You better believe I do! So if I need to access that site - which I'm reluctant to even do now given what they did - I'm going to have to login to my other computer where the game isn't installed.

Review: Green Day: Rock Band

Jun 8th 2010 9:54AM (Joystiq)
I love it how - beyond one spam comment - two insightful comments that support Green Day got voted down by people. I guess Justin knew the type of person he was writing for in the end: sheep who know nothing about the band or what real game journalism is. Kudos to you all.

I don't have any tats or piercings. I'm just someone who knows music and what makes up a good review.

Tell me how this "review" actually addresses the game as an actual game and not a slam on a band someone doesn't personally like. How many tracks are there? How are the note charts? Are they challenging? Too easy? How's the graphics? How well are harmonies handled in the game? There is none of that.

If my comment stinks of fanboyism yours stinks of someone who thinks the band sold out and doesn't know anything.

Need we forget that American Idiot mostly likely would've won the Grammy the year it was nominated if not for Ray Charles that year and his death.

Sounds to me like the band got better and evolved.

The most idiotic review I've read in a very long time. How is this even classified as a review?

Has Green Day's music changed as much as The Beatles' did during their history? No, but if you can't listen to an album like Kerplunk and then listen to American Idiot and not see how much the band has changed, grown, and matured, you know absolutely nothing about music.

For that matter, you can't even get the lead singer's name right - it's Billie Joe...not Billy Joe.

Kung Foo! creators talk about all things Foo

Jan 7th 2010 7:03AM (Massively)
Once again it's a bunch of MMO players being snobs on Massively. Surprise!

I've been playing Kung Foo and I think it's pretty funny and clever so far. Characters referencing themselves as NPCs. Starter pets being accidentally referred to as if they were starting level Pokemon. A character who talks about his past by rapping to the opening of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Not every MMO has to be a serious affair. Just learn to laugh.

Alganon community interview: Your questions answered

Nov 12th 2009 8:55AM (Massively)
I said it before in the last Alganon article and I'll say it again - MMO players are some of the most pathetic creatures there are. Someone goes out of their way to answer some of the most spiteful questions possible in a considerate and thoughtful manner and yet that's still not good enough.

And the company didn't "trick" anyone into buying a game that's not got a lot of features incorporated. The players of the game know what they were getting into when they purchased the game. All it takes is a little reading comprehension on their site and forums to know what's included and not included in the launch window of the game. Of course, most of you would know that if you actually looked at more than just the screenshots and bitched about it being a ripoff.

There's one thing I'm thankful for about these "it's a WoW ripoff" babies - they won't be playing the final game and and plaguing chat with their incessant complaining and cries. The chats in Alganon have been some of the most courteous, helpful, and mature comments I've seen in the games I've played.
