Apr 21st 2011 4:44PM (Joystiq)However, I find it much easier than Patapon 2--including the grind--and I haven't had a problem with _any_ multiplayer aspect, from playing with PSN friends, to playing with randoms, etc. The only time I experience issues is when I'm downloading something separately of the game, and then it's only normal lag that should be happening.
It is not my favorite Patapon, but it's not nearly as eh as the reviews are making it seem, and I consider myself a fairly picky gamer.
Hey, remember Asura's Wrath? That's pretty weird

Aug 2nd 2010 5:26PM (Massively)I like the scrolly hotbar, but then again, I don't have too much screen real estate since I play on a regular CRT monitor. I also limit all my characters to only 4 hotbars (2 top, 2 bottom) no matter what, which is why the scrolly hotbar comes in handy for me.
Luckily, I don't play any mages or clerics though. Their screens get pretty ridiculous.
What I really want for DDO is one of those gaming mice with all the extra programmable buttons. DDO is pretty twitchy, so it helps to have easily accessible buttons everywhere :P.
Exploring Eberron: Six things to do on your first day in game
Aug 2nd 2010 5:22PM (Massively)Light path monks, for instance, can solo up to the level cap pretty easily, because they can heal/buff themselves for free. A rogue, however, can't solo anything unless you're specifically playing some kind of super sneaky rogue that just sneaks to the end and does a lot of kiting/ranged weapon stuff.
Even a rogue/cleric 2-man group has a lot of trouble getting through things compared to say, a fighter/cleric or even a bard/paladin. However, what I've learned is if your guy isn't good at soloing, he's probably really, really useful. DDO has a good balance like that.
Rogues can't solo, but you sure as heck want them picking locks, doors and chests and detrapping everything.

Jul 6th 2010 1:45PM (Massively)1) Some kind of minigame diversion that you can "work on" when you don't feel like killing things. A collectible card game, for instance, is a fun idea.
2) Anything that makes endgame continue. New raids don't cut it, because after you do those and get the equipment, there's nothing to do again. Some kind of perpetual endgame system is always the way to go. Capturing territories, realm vs realm, something that never ends and is worthwhile.
Patapon 3 multiplayer demo moves to the beat next week
Jul 3rd 2010 12:15PM (Joystiq)I always want some kind of portable/mini MMO in a casual RTS system, like Patapon or Fire Emblem or something.
