Phat Loot Phriday: Jaina's Signet Ring

Apr 3rd 2009 6:04PM (WoW)
You're crazy! This quest was not a letdown, it's one of my favorite questlines from classic WoW. It's worth a ton of experience, the lore is excellent and you get a lot of gold from it. I've done it on every single alliance character I've levelled up because it's so good.

It did make you lose rep, but you got it back on the final step of the quest. :)

Michael,

No roleplayers say "yea verily", "thee" or "thou" unless it is appropriate for the setting, which it certainly is not for WoW. Furthering stereotypes is stupid.

On topic, I don't consider most questing to be in character, but I refused to do the Borean Tundra electric needle torture quest on my paladin anyway. Whoever implemented that quest is a really poor storyteller. "We in the Kirin Tor have taken an oath not to use torture, but you, paladin, don't have any such oaths." What? Uh, hello, defender of the Holy Light here? Order of the Silver Hand ring any bells? *facepalm*

Dual-spec disclosure distant? Denied!

They actually DID promise us player housing. In the words of Katricia who is no longer with Blizzard:

"Guild Halls will most likely not be implemented before World of Warcraft is released. They are very similar to Player Housing (which also will not make the release).

Both Player Housing and Guild Halls will be implemented as soon as possible after release.

I have no information available regarding the functions of either Guild Halls or Player Housing. ~Kat :)"

And it's not dumb. So nyah.

Breakfast topic: When real life is greater than WoW

Oh, and I forgot to add; this WoWInsider 'article' is another obvious troll by super-troll Adam Holisky. He writes things he excepts will get many replies and a lot of attention - the fact that the content of this particular article was less inane than his usual nonsense doesn't excuse the fact that politics and WoW do not mix.

Chad, you should look up what socialism actually is; you might be surprised. The truth is that the US has -never- had a presidential candidate with even remote socialist tendencies. Obama is most definitely not socialist, and it's laughable to suggest that he is - in fact, the 'left wing' party of the US would be considered pretty far right in most other countries of the world. The image of right/left wing politics and socialism in the US is so skewed as a result of the two party system, where everything becomes either black or white (pun intended) depending on what party you're siding with.

HOWEVER, it shouldn't really matter; regardless if you agree with Obama's politics or not - and it is certainly within your rights to disagree! - no one can deny that this is a historic moment. Though prejudice is still deeply rooted in many parts of the US, especially rural areas, what's happening today is proof that America can and will overcome such prejudice. I think you'd regret it down the line if you chose not to watch it.

Do you care about PvP anymore?

You should be sad to see them go. The way the arena system is designed, you NEED them to boost your own ratings. If people are unhappy with the system and stop playing arenas, everyone's ratings (including your own) shift down, locking you out from those rewards you're out to get.

That's how the system works - there is simply no arguing this point. In order for the arena system to function, all players at all skill levels and ratings must be kept entertained and rewarded. That is not the case now.

I'm surprised that you all act so surprised at this post.

This is what Adam Holisky does. He writes condescending flamebait, guides on how to grief others for laughs and then some praise for himself and his own progression, then files it under "humor", so he can claim it's "all in good fun".

"Smorgasbord" is actually spelled "smörgåsbord" - it's a Swedish word. The literal translation is "sandwich table".
