2. the amount of crap games produced is amazing
3. consoles are easier for developers to make games for because they don't have to worry about hardware for most part, when they develop for a platform they know all limitations and what can be done
4. a pirated copy does not equal a sold copy if it wasn't pirated, look at hawx 2, there is not cracked copy of it and it still did not sell well.
5. companies care less about making customers happy then trying to make things pirates unhappy.
6. piracy won't go away, best approach is minimize it without harming actual consumers.
7. someone playing a pirated copy that they would not otherwise have bought cost the company 0 (with small exceptions for ones that use company servers/resources)
8. good games will sell well and make money even without any drm. mainly because again people who pirate copies probably would not have bought a real copy anyways
9. this is a lot of free press for crytek and will most likely help them a lot more then hurt them
