Interesting, will take a look.
Worth looking at www.8realms.com again as they seem have have done something (loading screen?) which makes everything much quicker and more responsive

Ancient and modern clash in new 8Realms trailer

Interesting comments, I personally have found the game to be improved since the earlier Beta VIP versions and that you are saying that because you do not have to spend money that is a bad thing?

The Daily Grind: Which MMO do you think is underappreciated?

Definitely, Free Realms is very good and I agree does a lot right.
The other game for me is Runescape - is in the same mold - i.e. tagged as a kids game but has tons of depth

MMObility: How to real-time-strategize your way into my heart

@Beau Hindman Yea they really need to improve the first play experience and make it more intuitive.
When you say slow do you mean performance slow or the amount of time it takes to build stuff (I am good on the first but find the second slow and frustrating at times)
But it is closed beta so we can cross our fingers and hope these things can be improved

Personally I would go for www.8realms.com as this is a browser MMORTS but is exactly the same game and experience on the desktop browser, tablet and mobile phone.
Defo worth a try!

Great list - thanks for sharing.

One you may consider adding is a new online RTS game called 8Realms (http://www.8realms.com).

It is still in beta at the moment but you can play the game with exactly the same features and experience across your desktop browser, tablet or mobile phone - it seems to work on almost any browser on any device

Boo - missed it - keys all gone :(

The Daily Grind: Are social media connections in MMOs useless?

I am keen to see what people think on this as well.
From a companies perspective I get it - SN are a great way to get your name/brand/game known. Some clever hash tag work can be good as well but I also wonder how many people will be caught out by these auto SN messages when 'off sick' or attending a telephone conference call (not that I would do any of those things of course)!
