Dec 16th 2010 11:13PM (WoW)Exclusive: Champions Online recaps 15 months of heroic adventures
Dec 16th 2010 8:33AM (Massively)I was in closed beta. I also bought a lifetime on purpose. My finger didn't slip. But 5 months after launch with not a peep about what they were working on aside from the lame-o events and the whole vibora bay controversy that got Daeke fired. I was there. I was there when they announced the change to adventure packs, which oh by the way, there have only been 2. They aren't much longer than the weekly episodes that Star Trek Online pumped out nearly a dozen of in a fraction of the time.
Also, there have been two guys, two, who have been working on the powerset adjustments. Stuff that shouldn't have taken 15 months to fix. There are still entire swaths of powers that don't work or don't work right. Ice, anybody?
So don't come at me like I haven't been there since the beginning watching this (not quite) Titanic sink oh so slowly into it's own busted (for almost a month without a gold post) Lemuria.
Exclusive: Champions Online recaps 15 months of heroic adventures
Dec 14th 2010 9:51AM (Massively)Not any studio that counts. For example, Turbine, old Cryptic under NCSoft, Blizzard, any other Cryptic title, Funcom, Squaresoft, Icarus, Sony
I might have missed one, but the rest of the studios are too poor (on many levels) to count. If you wanna compete with the big boys and charge like the big boys, you better be ready to deliver like the big boys. They haven't. Champions is the redheaded stepchild of their studio. You think they're really letting anyone with talent still work on that piece of crap?
