Don't knock it til' you try it bro. It is well made for a low budget deal, the characters are all believable and unique and quite funny. Plus, your comment about the song is akin to judging a book by its cover.

Also, yes I would still watch it if Codex were played by a different actress. However, the fact that Felicia Day plays the role she wrote for herself so well is part of what makes the show so popular. To say she identifies with the character would be an understatement. It also puts a very human light on her that somehow makes her even more attractive.

I don't watch the show because Felicia Day is hot, I watch it because she is a beautiful and very funny person. The other actors & actresses notwithstanding.

I certify that I am literate and therefore worthy of said prize.
