Why I Play: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Mar 21st 2012 3:56PM (Massively)Just wanted to say I always look forward to your comments. You guys always have good input on topics here. I tip my hat to both of you, good sirs.
@DancingTaco
I agree, this is definitely not the game for someone who really wants to sink all their gaming time into a single game and/or character. Many times I see someone bored with the game but they have multiple 50s already. I been playing swtor casually since launch and Im still hooked but I only have one 50 and 3 alts in the 20s. I saw this in WoW to some degree too, the more you played the quicker you burnt out and unsubbed.
I like that Eliot touched on the use of abilities in this article. In Swtor there was multiple times that I died on quest bosses 3-5 times before finally getting the right mix of cc'ing/kiting/interrupting to live long enough to get them down. Hell, sometimes just a pack of mobs with two silvers in it would kill me if I wasn't careful. My friend and I even had to group up to finish our last couple main story quests. While the combat might not be drastically different I think Bioware deserves a little credit here for making typical questing a little more dangerous than many other modern themepark mmo's.
ArenaNet thanks potential beta testers with new Guild Wars 2 video
Mar 12th 2012 8:37PM (Massively)I completely understand why people wouldn't want to share photos and info online. But it doesn't mean you have to rally against Facebook like it's some evil thing. Just because a person has a Facebook account doesn't mean he is anti-privacy or a narcissist or whatever other stereotypes you guys come up with. Business opportunities are being made left and right through social media, old friends are connecting, political movements starting, and new friends being made. I feel that there is plenty of good to out weigh the bad.
ArenaNet thanks potential beta testers with new Guild Wars 2 video
Mar 12th 2012 3:34PM (Massively)Facebook needs a name and an email to signup. Thats it. Nothing else. You don't have to upload photos, you don't have to fill out your profile or anything else. Anyone losing their privacy on facebook can only blame themselves.
You know what you can learn about me on facebook? That I like cars, video games, mma fighting and what my pets look like. Oh noes! The tragedy! My privacy has been compromised!
Hyperspace Beacon: Sensing the future
Jan 3rd 2012 3:55PM (Massively)Other things I would like to see are more guild functions, a moving and scalable ui, more space missions even if on rails, the auction interface definitely needs some love, and last but not least a warzone with vehicles would be fun or a warzone that is a space battle. Star wars isn't all about infantry so it would be nice to see some more vehicular combat.

Ten things to do in Star Wars Galaxies before it's gone
Oct 5th 2011 1:12PM (Massively)Its a real shame this game is going to be shut down. The community is definitely one of the best and the game's sandbox appeal is second to none. It definitely had its flaws but it didn't stop me from having a good time. Im glad I will be there to witness the last few months of a one of a kind game.
