MJ Guthrie

- Contributing Editor -

When not immersed in her favorite virtual worlds, MJ can be found hanging out with her family, reading, coaching/playing sports, writing fiction, singing, and dabbling in graphic design (in random order, depending on mood and season). Her favorite part of MMOs? Observing the dynamics of virtual communities. That psychology degree has to come in handy somewhere, doesn't it?

MJ's Massively adventures can be found many places:  She co-created Some Assembly Required; penned Wings Over Atreia; investigates conspiracies in Chaos Theory; chronicles adventures in Norrathian Notebook; and livestreams for The Stream Team.

The Stream Team: Becoming an ArcheAge juror

If you've made it to level 30 in ArcheAge without any crime or infamy points (or whittled them away back to nothing), you get to embark on the jury quest. This allows you to sit in court and decide the fate of your peers who've been accused of crimes. Is that Firran who killed a group really acting...

Norrathian Notebook: Seven things EverQuest Next and Landmark really need

What do I want to see in EverQuest Next and Landmark? I know that is a question that all of us have asked ourselves and each other. Heck, even the developers ask us this! All that, however, is about to change: Junkies Nation reports that Trion says the third continent will unlock within the next couple of weeks, rather than months, before the release of Patch 1.7. The 1.7...

Chaos Theory: New Sidestories show The Secret World's innovative side

When I talked about 10 of the most compelling missions in The Secret World last time, I purposefully left out the new Sidestories mission packs. One reason is that I've already spoken a bit about Further Analysis; the other is that the third and latest pack was slated to arrive soon and I intended...
