	The world of <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/gpotato">gPotato's</a> long-running free-to-play MMO <em><a href="http://www.massively.com/category/flyff">Flyff</a></em> is about to change in a big way. In a press release today, the studio announced the upcoming July launch of <em>Flyff Gold</em>, which will add a whole slew of features and revamps, many of which have been requested by the community. According to the press release, players can look forward to "a fresh new look and dynamic interface," as well as features such as "achievements redeemable for item shop goodies" and a "set-and-forget consignment marketplace for easy trading," plus much more.<br />
	<br />
	To celebrate the update's imminent release, gPotato is beginning "game-wide log-in and level-up events" that will reward players for, as the name would imply, logging in and leveling up. These events make for the perfect time for new players to jump into the game and get some shiny loot in preparation for the <em>Flyff Gold</em> release. The Shadowforge Dwarves are the game's latest race, and players who choose to roll one will begin their adventures in the new Yrvandis Hollows starting area. In addition to the usual newbie zone accoutrements, the area features an instance called the Outskirts of Taffrock that <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/frogster">Frogster</a> describes as "particularly challenging." Players will face off against a final boss known as Dark Gargoylem, along with his horde of aggressive spirits that have hunkered down in the lower levels of the ancient dwarven hall.<br />

<em>Runes of Magic</em> is a free-to-play fantasy title developed by <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/runewaker">Runewaker</a> and published by Frogster. The <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/fires-of-shadowforge">Fires of Shadowforge</a> update releases June 12th.<br />

	In a post on the official <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/diablo-iii/"><em>Diablo III</em></a> forums earlier today, Community Manager <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/nethaera">Nethaera</a> <a href="http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5149181449">addressed a few of the concerns</a> that have been brought up in the game's momentous first week.<br />
	<br />
	Neth first linked to an up-to-date list of hotfixes that have been implemented thus far. For the spoiler-wary among you, be warned that if you haven't completed the game on Normal difficulty, some of the hotfixes might be spoilerific. Now that you're thoroughly warned that <em>there may be spoilers</em>, head on over to the <a href="http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/5825330/">list of hotfixes</a> if you dare. Neth also advised players that additional server maintenance will be required in time and that there's a game patch inbound for sometime next week.<br />
	<br />
	She also took the time to address the <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/real-money-auction-house/">real-money auction house</a>. Although Neth states that the service is "coming soon," it's been delayed due to post-launch difficulties. The team apparently needs "a bit more time to iron out the existing general stability and gameplay issues" before the real-money auction house is ready for launch. Players shouldn't expect the auction house to be ready in May despite initial plans for it to go online on the 22nd, and there wasn't a solid date to look forward to.<br />
	<br />
	Neth went on to assure players that neither <em>D3 </em>nor <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/battlenet">Battle.net</a> servers have been compromised, despite all the hubbub about security concerns that's been filling the air the last few days.<br />

		In all of the individual Diablo III-related compromise cases we've investigated, none have occurred after a physical Battle.net Authenticator or Battle.net Mobile Authenticator app was attached to the player's account, and we have yet to find any situation where a Diablo III player's account was accessed outside of "traditional" compromise methods (i.e. someone logging using an account's login email and password).</blockquote>

<a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/dc-universe-online"><em>DC Universe Online's</em></a> fourth DLC pack is on the way. As you're probably aware, it's called <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/last-laugh">Last Laugh</a>, but what you may not know is that it's focused on PvP. New iconic characters are making their way to the game's Legends mode, including DC stalwarts like Power Girl and Amon Sur.<br />
<br />
Up to this point, much of Legends PvP has focused on what creative director <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/jens-andersen">Jens Andersen</a> terms the Bat family. Characters like Batman, Bane, Two-Face, Robin, and the Joker are all mainstays. Now, though, players can step into the tights of both Kryptonian and Lantern heroes, and they can do so on the new Fortress of Solitude Legends map. <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/runes-of-magic/"><em>Runes of Magic</em></a> is counting down the days until its next major update, Chapter V: Fires of Shadowforge, and <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/frogster">Frogster</a> is throwing five exciting events to pep up its playerbase during the wait. <a href="http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/news,id2924,big_five.html">The Big Five</a>, as the company is calling it, is currently at the halfway mark as its third event that will take place over the holiday weekend.<br />
<br />
From May 25th through May 29th, <em>Runes of Magic</em> players can visit the Helping Hands in one of several locations in the game to get an incredible buff. This two-hour buff will boost experience, talent point, and rare loot gain for all who accept it. Players can receive the buff once a day for the duration of the event.<br />
<br />
The highlight of Chapter V is most definitely the addition of a pair of new classes: <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/05/16/runes-of-magic-shows-off-the-new-champion-and-warlock/">the Champion and the Warlock</a>. Also coming with Chapter V are the playable Shadowforge Dwarves, a new starter zone, and additional high-level instances. 	When you look at <a href="http://www.massively.com/tag/koramgame">KoramGame's</a> &uuml;ber-cute free-to-play title <em><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/spirit-tales">Spirit Tales</a></em>, revolutionary PvP probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind. According to a new press release, however, that's exactly what the studio is aiming for in an upcoming update which will add 1v5 monster boss PvP to the game.<br />
	<br />
	The feature is pretty much what it sounds like: One player takes on the role of a giant dungeon boss mob, and it's his job to stomp the everloving daylights out of the other five players who will be teaming up to bring him down. The victor of these 1v5 battles will be rewarded with "stronger, more powerful PvP equipment" with which to further dominate the battlefield. The update will be going live on June 6th, and players who take part in the new gametype between its launch and July 1st will have the opportunity to win fancy Tt gaming peripherals, so head on over to the game's official site and get ready to rumble.<br />

It wasn't <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/03/08/aika-releases-dragons-epic-ii-saga-hestia-content/">too long ago</a> that <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/gpotato">gPotato</a> released <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/aika"><em>Aika's</em></a> Epic II Saga content patch. It's already time for Epic III, though, and the new chapter is sub-titled Descent. Why's that, we wondered? Well, because <em>Aika's</em> human warriors will "descend to the planet and take on the demons who forced them to flee their homes long ago," according to gPotato's latest PR drop.<br />
<br />
What does that mean in gameplay terms? Basically a level cap increase (to 85), a revamped Aitan Arena, and a new training ground area designed to push players to their limits. More details are available at the official <a href="http://aika.gpotato.com/epic3/">Epic III: Descent</a> website.<br />

The same thing could be a distinct possibility for <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/star-wars-the-old-republic/"><em>Star Wars: The Old Republic</em></a>.<br />

Yesterday, <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/05/23/the-old-republic-interview-on-patch-1-3-covers-lfg-perks-and-g/">we reported</a> on PC Gamer's interview with Lead Game Designer <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/daniel-erickson">Daniel Erickson</a>. When asked if the new group finder would be cross-server, Erickson replied that it would be single-server because "we are coming up on a huge move to servers with massively higher population caps than we have today."<br />

Of course, there are no details about these massive servers yet, but this quote does suggest that <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/bioware/">BioWare</a> is looking for a critical-mass solution that is more than just simple character transfers. Before anyone asks in the comments section: Yes, <a href="http://www.istaria.com/"><em>Istaria</em></a> is still around. I've noticed that many players seem to think if something is out of their sight, it's out of every other player's mind too, but the truth is that there are many, many smallish and indie MMOs in existence that not only continue to do well but offer unique gameplay for anyone who might be interested. <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/Istaria/"><em>Istaria</em></a> is even still referred to as <em>Horizons</em> by many, even though that change was made a long, long time ago. 	<a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/star-wars-the-old-republic"><em>Star Wars: The Old Republic</em></a> is gonna get some mighty fine updates with the <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/05/21/swtor-patch-1-3-bringing-group-finder-legacy-perks/">onset of patch 1.3</a>. Game Designer <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/daniel-erickson">Daniel Erickson</a> had a chat with <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/pc-gamer">PC Gamer</a> to shed some light on the changes in the upcoming patch.<br />
	<br />
	Players in <em>SWTOR </em>don't like standing still. As Erickson says: "You can craft on the move, run [<a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/warzones">war zones</a>] from anywhere, and basically never slow down -- except when looking for a group." To put an end to that difficulty, 1.3 will include a LFG interface that players can use to find a pick-up group to run with (except for Hard Mode Operations, which aren't really designed for uncoordinated PUGs). The tool won't work cross-server, but that's because the dev team is looking to move to servers with a much, much higher population cap in the near future.<br />
	<br />
	The patch will add new perks to the <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/legacy">legacy system</a>, most of which are aimed at customizing the way players level their alts. With a high enough legacy and enough credits, players could use XP perks to skip side quests altogether, although Erickson points out that that there are perks for Bonus Series quests that may tempt players to visit planets they've previously left alone.<br />
	<br />
	The last bundle of tidings of great joy for the patch is directed at gear. There's a fine balance between freedom of dress and the importance of visual distinction, and <em>SWTOR </em>aims to find it by allowing "social gear" to be worn anywhere. Additionally, "almost every single item in the game" will get customization options thanks to augment slots. <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/ignited-games">Ignited Games</a> has released a major content update to its free-to-play fantasy MMO <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/rosh-online"><em>Rosh Online</em></a> that not only adds more gameplay features but introduces a number of new systems and changes to enhance the player experience.<br />
<br />
Along with a mysterious new island and dungeons to explore, new armor and weapons, improved boss monsters, three craftable bear mounts, and an increased level cap (up to 75), this update offers more functionality with modifications to the UI, an inventory sort function, a craft tooltip, and an auto-walk system to get players to NPCs and quest mobs.<br />

Some people no doubt see the venerable <em><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/Dark-Age-of-Camelot/">Dark Age of Camelot</a></em> as a relic. But you know what's even <em>more</em> of a relic? The game's Relics. These powerful items <a href="http://darkageofcamelot.com/article/game-update-1112">have received an overhaul in the latest patch</a>; the items have been moved to central locations in each Realm that cannot be captured or claimed. Players carrying Relics have also become more visible and slightly less mobile, and special Envoys have been added to help defend Relics from capture.<br />
<br />
The patch also updates several class abilities. Bonedancers get a new spell to target a region on the ground, while Friars and Valewalkers both gain a rear snare. Today marks the release of <em>EVE's</em> <a href="http://www.eveonline.com/inferno">17th expansion</a>, and when we say expansion, we don't mean a glorified content patch that's been dipped in PR sauce.<br />

<a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/inferno"><em>Inferno</em></a> boasts a reworked war declaration system, substantial faction warfare updates, a new mercenary marketplace, enhanced graphics, new missile and launcher effects, and a host of other features focusing on everything from inventory to new modules and ship balancing.<br />

If you've been slacking when it comes to keeping up with <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/everquest-ii"><em>EverQuest II</em></a> tradeskill news lately, the recent <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/gu-63">Game Update 63</a> (otherwise known as Skyshrine) featured quite a few noteworthy tweaks. <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/soe">Sony Online Entertainment</a> has posted a dev interview detailing some of the larger changes, including the addition of several hundred new craftable items.<br />

SOE's Brian "<a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/brian-ferguson">Omougi</a>" Ferguson says that Carpenters and Alchemists got a lot of love during this patch, and combat-only players will be pleased to know that crafters can now make even more handy upgrades. There are two new consumables for each class archetype, and Ferguson is particularly fond of the tank versions which gives meatshields an additional 20% damage reduction for 12 seconds.<br />

<em><a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/Ultima-Online/">Ultima Online</a></em> is preparing a continuation of the game's latest global arc with <a href="http://www.uoherald.com/node/597?utm_source=twitterfeed&amp;utm_medium=twitter">tomorrow's patch</a>. Act VI of The Awakening asks players to assist in crafting a number of alchemical preparations, with a number of rewards available for players who actively try to crack the puzzle of the correct ingredients. More information will be available from the official site as well as an in-game NPC. If you need more time to prepare, don't worry -- the quest is going active in July and lasting until mid-August.<br />
<br />
If you're not willing to wait, the new patch also sees a revamp of the Covetous Dungeon. The first floor remains largely unchanged, but levels two and three both feature a new system for the game in which players accumulate points for defeating monsters that can later be turned in for new rewards. A long time ago on a server far, far away, the Imperial forces <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/BioWare/">BioWare</a> prepared a <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/category/star-wars-the-old-republic"><em>Star Wars: The Old Republic</em></a> update to rule the online world: <a href="http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/05/21/star-wars-the-old-republics-13-patch-revealed">patch 1.3</a>. Called Allies, patch 1.3 will usher in a group finder, character transfers, and legacy perks.<br />
<br />
The group finder will aid in banding together interested adventurers to tackle operations and flashpoints. Lead Designer <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/daniel-erickson">Daniel Erickson</a> said that the time is ripe for the feature, as players are spread out in levels and are rolling plenty of alts. Saying that BioWare wants to "respect the communities" that have formed, Erickson reports that the group finder will not be cross-server.<br />
<br />
He also revealed some of the other key features for patch 1.3. Additional perks to the Legacy system will allow players to customize their experience; we'll see new ports, earlier access to mounts, and bonus XP modifiers for PvP. The patch will also change social gear to fit the armor type of the class using it, server transfers, and the ability to add augments to any crafting items. Looking past 1.3, Erickson promises a "return to big content" with patch 1.4.<br />

This must be the day for sexy MMO news. Succubus is, well, a succubus, and she's also a raid boss who will challenge players like no other.<br />

Except for maybe Glas Ghaibheleann. He's also a raid boss. While he's not quite as attractive as his partner-in-crime, he's equally deadly. <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/nexon">Nexon</a> says that the pair will awe players with their appearance and unique abilities. The <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/inferno"><em>Inferno</em></a> expansion is set to launch on Tuesday May 22nd, promising a <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/03/25/eve-evolved-extra-revamping-pvp-in-inferno/">complete revamp</a> of <a href="http://www.eve-online.com/"><em>EVE Online</em></a>'s war declaration system and a whole host of new modules. If you're in a wardec corp, you'll need to make a few adjustments to the way you operate when the patch goes live. The minimum war fee will increase to 50 million ISK even if you're declaring war on a small corporation, making very small corps less-appealing targets. The fee increases based on the number of members in the target corp, but it doesn't start increasing until around the 130-member mark. If you want to get your money's worth, you'll be best off picking a target corp with 100-150 members or selecting very high-value small targets.<br />
<br />
Be very wary of wardeccing large alliances after the patch. While the previous war system <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/04/15/eve-evolved-fixing-the-wardec-system/">swung in favour of the attacker</a>, the new system has gone to the opposite extreme. Large corps and alliances are now significantly more costly and dangerous to declare war on, especially as the defender can now call mercenaries into the war at any time. Players have complained that the increasing war costs could be abused by getting all alliance members to add alts to the corp, but this would be a logistical nightmare to apply in practice and would increase fees by only a few hundred million ISK. If alt padding becomes a problem, <a href="http://massively.joystiq.com/tag/ccp-games">CCP</a> will undoubtedly step in and revise the fee structure.<br />
