It's easy to forget that in all of these game worlds that we're adventuring through, some people allegedly live and work in these lands! Even in the very, very scary places! Reader Xexanos found this run-down house in a dark corner of The Secret World
and found himself entranced by the mystery of it.
"I stumbled upon this place during my exploration of the Shadowy Forest (the name really tells you everything)," he said. "I wonder what the history behind this is."
I had just found that last week myself and was wondering that too. If any lore experts want to fill us in, please do so, otherwise head past the jump and check out all of the other great reader screenshots we have in store for you this week!
Sometimes it's just the quiet scenery that really evokes emotions and awe in us. That's why I have a thousand landscape pictures in my screenshots folder, of which about 80% are of sunrises or sunsets. Reader Carla took a snapshot of this Mortal Online
vista to share with us.
"I was out harvesting near the town of Bakti while I waited on the sun to rise," she said. "When I turned around to leave, I caught this shot of the dawn sun reflecting off the nearby mountains."
Just don't stare at the picture too long or you'll go blind, folks.
Getting ready to go back to RIFT
when free-to-play hits? Here's a sight you might witness. Reader Richard has the full scoop: "This is a screenshot of the Infinity Gate area in the Storm Legion
expansion zone. The Pelladane continent's main quest line sent my level 60 Rogue Taris to this area to fight a boss named Detricus, whom I have yet to defeat. In fact, after a couple of frustrating deaths, I decided to take a few screens for posterity and then take a break. Smile! The area looks almost Asuran, but this is not
another Guild Wars 2
Other games can have good art too? Gasp! Perish the thought!
Reader Stephen is in a literal life-and-death race here in World of Warcraft
. "This is a high-speed race with Alani. If I lose, she gets to eat me," he said calmly, moments before he was making his way through the digestive system of a dragon.
Of course, he would have survived if he hadn't been concerned about taking the best possible picture, but that's the kind of dedication our readers have when it comes to bringing you jaw-dropping screenshots. Let's all take our hats off and remember Stephen's valiant sacrifice in the name of a few seconds of entertainment.
Everything is different, but the same... things are more moderner than before... bigger, and yet smaller... it's computers... San Dimas High School football rules!
