One Shots: 100% Guild Wars 2

Yes, we know that Guild Wars 2 is a gorgeous and popular game. Why do we know this? Because week after week, One Shots has been swamped with GW2 submissions, far outstripping almost every other game submission put together. That's not a bad thing, as I agree that it's a lovely title that has an immense amount of eye candy. It just makes it difficult when I'm limiting One Shots to one-picture-per-game-per-column.

So you know what? We're throwing out the rule today. Today's all about Guild Wars 2 as we dig through the growing backlog of photos. Reader Jacob kicks us off with this awesome pose of his toon: "This is my Charr engineer pretending to be a statue in the hidden strawberry patch in Diessa Plateau. Rather angelic looking for such a fierce race!"

There's more where that came from, so leapfrog over the jump and let's get moving!

Reader Matthew either found a zombie Asura or became a zombie Asura. If it's the latter, then I strongly demand that the game add zombie versions of every class as a racial choice. Heck, make that in every MMO.

"It has been a long journey and this week has taken it out of me," Matthew said. I guess eating brains and constantly moaning is a tough job.

So... here's a screenshot from last August that hasn't gotten posted yet. Happy belated launch, Guild Wars 2! Whee!

Fellow Engineer fan David takes to the lakes for his in-game explorations. I agree with him, GW2 did the near-impossible: It made underwater exploration and combat pretty enjoyable.

David testifies: "This is my Engineer Rant. This game has THE BEST underwater combat and visuals I have ever seen in a game. I love to explore every nook and cranny of the zones looking for sights just like this. I have spent more hours finding every vista, waypoint, point of interest, and quest heart in the game than I have leveling."

Reader Matt (no relation to the above) sends us in our last, but by no means final, Guild Wars 2 shot: "While touring around on my Elementalist, I came across this waterfall and loved the spray effect off of the rocks. Thought I would share it."

Thanks for doing so, Matt! Now dry off, you're going to catch a cold!

That at least makes a small dent in the Guild Wars 2 pile. Keep sending screenshots of all MMOs in, and maybe you'll be center stage in a future week!
