Super excited about AO graphic re-do. Normally graphics wont turn me away from a game, and when it came out it was considerably high end in the graphic department, im glad they are keeping the old by giving it some new stuff.

Looks like ill be giving Vanguard a try aswell. Anyone play it?

I played Vanguard in beta and then at launch. For about a month.

I came back a couple years later and played for several months. My friends and I loved it, but we saw the writing on the wall. We just couldn't justify continuing to invest in a game that didn't look like was going to be around much longer.

Now that SoE is taking the whitewash to said wall, my friends and I are really looking forward to when it goes f2p. We will definitely be back because the game really is impressive in a lot of ways.

I've gone back to Vanguard a few times since the heartbreak release experience, and I'll be going back to play it as a F2P title. I'm very glad SOE is doing this.

There are some issues with Vanguard in 2012, but no game I've played is better at having a vast landscape where you can see so far into the distance- and then actually travel to where you see. I've always considered it somewhat of a a sandpark due to the many starting areas and large world- plus having boats to sail and houses in the actual game world.
