A developer that's willing to take a step back and let the players have more control over a design mechanic? How nice. The game does sound promising. I look forward to gameplay videos and screenshots in the future. I like the art design for that humanoid.

"The short answer is that it changed platforms. Mid-development. Yah, ouch. But pain can be a good thing. While what the devs were originally building with was great, the developers made the difficult decision to switch in order to better meet their vision."

Look for a 2015 release, changing engines means starting all over, trust me. Yeah you can port over art, but you have to rewrite the whole game and rebuild the world.

"If one faction gets too domineering? Well, hello rebel uprising! "

lol, Go ask the former Shadowbane devs how that worked out for them. Some are over at Kings Isle, I think. Making money for a change with Wizard 101, a kids PvE mmog.

" I still came away from that interview with renewed hope that a game with some of the features for player-generated content could exist again."

There is a game out there called Darkfall, you might have heard of it. Duh.

Also, sheeple like a winner. So when one faction starts to dominate, most players will join or end up quitting after being cuffed around a bit. A lesson from the Shadowbane 101 class at Sandbox U.
