Bioware should release 1.2 as 1.0. Probably in this case my server didn't lose 3/4 of its player base during 2 months.

@Pasha my Engrish isn't perfect. I mean BW shouldn't release badly tested game with incomplete features back in December as 1.0. It felt like paid beta - and still is.

I agree. i would prolly still be playing this game if this stuff was out at launch. The longer im away from the game, the less likley Ill go back.

@Pasha

Personally I'm glad they released in December. I would have much rather been playing for the last few months without these new 1.2 features than not playing at all and waiting till April for the official launch.

At least I've been able to play and have fun since December. :D

@Monkey D Luffy So someone who still likes the game for what it is or maybe someone who didn't start at release and hasn't had the shiny wear off yet is braindead because you are not a fan...

Just what I always wanted, leveling up a character of one race so I can pick the same exact race on another character.

Amazing so excited about this. At first I was certain it was a horrid decision...but this is going to be really cool.

I am hoping that the species unlock is just a little bit more then having a different skin. My main thought is that if I start playing a pure blood sith as a republic class then people should react to me as such. People should be surprised that I am a republic sith and there should be some encounters of prejudice. Its not a game breaker for me or anything.

@madcartoonist

You're expecting far too much; you're going to have the exact same experience and dialogue as any other race playing a Pure Blood Jedi/Smuggler/whatever.

IMO it is just a skin unlock basically, the stories will all play out the same. They would have to do extra VO work if they were to change anything and I am sure they can't afford that at this point.

The species you unlock are what already exists, it just means those species that are exclusively one faction such as Chiss or exclusively one class such as Miraluka will be unlocked for other factions and classes.

So you could have a Sith Jedi or a Chiss smuggler...they still use the existing voices, they just swap the appearence and species special ability.

Still loving the game very much, but this whole Legacy thing has me feeling a tad "meh". I'm maxed out on characters on one server, both rep and imp, and unless this carries over to other servers, or unless there'll be some kind of plastic surgeon/barbershop type deal in the game, the new race/class combos will not be for me. Shared abilities are just... odd.

Hopefully they'll add some more useful stuff soon.

When SWTOR got announced I wanted to play a Twilek Agent so bad it hurt me soul. Got in beta and it wasn't an option due to the socio-political canon of TOR's Sith Empire. I made peace with that and played my human to cap, awesome experience top to bottom. Now they make is possible but I have to hit cap on a twilek character to do so. I wish they had just made the option available from the start but it is a cool feature over all.

Pureblood should really not be allowed for the Republic; Legacy be damned. Since they are allowing it, i agree with everyone that there better be some prejudice built into the dialogue for the pubs.

Yea see, the interesting thing is when you make a new character in most games, you usually want to play a different race or class than one you already played.

I don't find it particularly alluring in order to unlock an interesting race for a class you actually had to have played out a character of that race already.

I was hoping for rare races, like Voss or something, not existing races that are just locked out of the original lineup.

That's what I said earlier up. Sure you have the people who always want to play the same race (elf lovers, etc) but otherwise it seems like a very bland reward.
