Mists of Pandaria is right around the proverbial corner, and Blizzard has graced us with a beta FAQ that explains how to participate in the testing period.
If you have a Battle.net account with at least one attached Blizz title, you can opt in to the test via the beta profile page. After you do that, sit tight and wait for an acceptance email. If you have an annual World of Warcraft pass, you're automatically in, but Blizzard says that you might have a bit of a wait anyway due to its staggered invite waves.
Finally, there's no NDA for WoW's newest expansion, so you'll be seeing plenty more screenshots, video, and commentary flooding the web in short order. Check out our sister site for the latest and greatest MoP coverage.

They didn't mention the wait time when signing up for the Annual Pass =/

@odericko It shouold have been common sense. They don't let everyone that signed up in at once, no matter how they signed up.

Excuse me?
StarCraft 2 and Diablo 2 had staggered releases for people to get in them. Every Blizzard beta has staggered entries.
StarCraft 2 AND Diablo 3 beta testers who got guaranteed access for attending BlizzCon and other Blizzard contests were let in at different times. And with other betas, they accept people in in stages.

Wise choice to not put in under NDA, they need that flood of information to try to block out their competition

I've just been back on one of the scrolls of reserection . Some embers of the magic it once had are still there in WoW and I was tempted once or twice but I knew in the back of my mind this expansion was around the corner and for me thats big reason not to go back . For some reason this really just doesn't sit well for me in a traditional fantasy setting (even though its cartoony ). I know they appeared in Warcraft 3 and some other animal races appear in WoW but playable ones like the Worgen (werewolves) and Tauren (minotaur) somehow fit . It may be its the mix of Panda and martial arts is whats wrong especially after the Kung Fu Panda movies . Sadly this expansion really leaves me cold . I'm wondering if this will have mass appeal or whether its a huge mistake . I'll happily play whatever free welcome backs are on offer in the future but this is one expansion I'll never buy .

Completely off-topic, but if anyone has any spare Scrolls of Resurrection I would be grateful :)

Here is the real issue tho... The actually expansion is soo far away that Blizzard simply can not hold ppl intrested and paying that long.
We are talking about no raids beeing even created yet
We are talking about no pet battles shown at press tour
We are talking new talent and ability system that requires months of balancing.
Now the real question is... Will Cata beat WOTLK in terms of distance from last raid to the expansion? For me it looks obvious. And is also the main reason why BLizzard is offering ppl so much for subing to the game atm. They are desperate cause they know the expansion might not even launch this year.

@Deadalon How do you figure that out? The game is going into open beta very, very soon which implies a release date in 4-5 months tops, maybe even sooner. Do you really see it staying in open beta for the best part of a year? Or, more likely, do you just like posting negative things about WoW and jump at every opportunity you can to badmouth the game?

Talk about BS, I get a mist invite and not a D3 invite. I stopped playing WoW because it's not the game I paid for originally. I signed up for a D3 beta invite at the time when they implemented the new Bnet system and website. I just wanted a D3 Beta invite and so I put my interest for beta in Diablo and Starcraft. Blizzard needs to implement something useful, how about they give me the option to trade my invite with someone that has a Diablo 3 invite? I have no interest in the Panda expansion, and my beta profile specifically states that I don't want to follow WoW.

How did you get an invite when opt-in invites haven't been sent out yet? Did you purchase the annual plan? If that's what you are talking about, are you seriously complaining about getting access to what is detailed in the offer to begin with? Did you expect Diablo 3 instead of Mists of Pandaria when the whole point of the annual plan's beta access was Mists of Pandaria?
The Diablo 3 beta is about two hours long, Tops out at level 13, and the only thing you can do is run the Skeleton King over and over again, and get the highest-level gear you can wear (gear that requires level 27 drop, but cannot be used.)

@Bladerunner83 invites are not out yet, if you got one, it's a trap, don't sign in.

HAHA, you guys it is a trap...those scamers and their sneaky emails. I went directly to my Bnet page and the option is not there, so yeah its a scam. I wonder how they got a hold of my email.

No NDA, hm?
Well, I guess that means someone can actually *confirm* if this game will have playable pandas or not!
