Diablo III launches May 15th [Updated]

@(Unverified) A hack'n'slash game is repetitive? What? NO WAY. You played the first third of the first act of a beta. You played it for an hour. That's the whole game. If you play any longer, of course it's repetitive, you're playing the same thing?

Maybe you don't know how this genre/game works?

D3 is a huge dissapointment and a slap in the face of the diablo franchise fans.
dumbed down to the max, cutting features left and right, zero innovation. they tacked the M on it to boost sales, it has nothing worth the mature rating, its actually a step backwards from the previous Diablo installments and their grim, darker moods.

its just for the zombie masses that would buy a dung if it came on a box with the Blizzard brand on it.

Good for you. But D3 it's nothing more than WoW in a hack'n slash environment in a smaller scale with less customizations. As a big Diablo and Diablo 2 fan, i'm not impressed at all with what Blizzard did after so many years.

If GW2 is F2P then D3 is too since they share the exact same payment model (buy the box and play subscription-less for as long as the servers are up).

They share the same payment model except D3 has microtransactions which will affect gameplay, GW2 not.

GW2, like GW, will also have microtransactions. Whether they are "gameplay affecting" or not doesn't really have anything to do with my point. Claiming one is F2P and not the other makes no sence.

@Snichy People are more than welcome to criticize Guild Wars 2 in a negative way. However, first off, a section about Diablo 3 is not the place to discuss it. Secondly, No one takes to "that sucks, will fail" bull manure. If you got something to say about something you think sucks, you better back up your point else you get the down vote for having a WEAK opinion, not just an opinion.

The only opinion I see spewing from your mouths is you hate it because everyone likes it at the moment. Yall just come off as the dudes who hates on the popular stuff to try and be cool. That is until you come up with a better opinion than "This is fail, is stupid, trash, etc."

I honestly couldn't get into the original Torchlight. Reminded me too much of Mythos which I also didn't enjoy. Really, I haven't been able to get into any of the Diablo clones. D2 was just the right game at the right time for me I guess.

Torchlight 2 deserve more attention than D3 since Runic is the real Diablo team.

I just wanted to focus on which one is the "good" one and why the other is the "evil" one.

Microtransactions are a huge point, and on that, they follow a completly different path.

It doesn't matter whether or not the criticism is constructive, if it isn't positive about what's 'hot' (and until it releases that'll be GW2, then it'll get turned on for not redefining the genre) you'll get downvoted regardless of how valid your opinion is.

:( Sad to hear that but I sorta know where your coming from. At least with Mythos.... It was fun at first but each time it died and was resurrected by another company (necromancer) it somehow managed to become less and less enjoyable.

@MrGrimord Since Blizzard has dropped their "When it's ready" stance, I wonder what the release date would have been had they not cut PvP for release and instead waited until it was ready. Looks like it might have been a late fall release at best?

@MrGrimord The "microtransactions" as you call them in Diablo are simply trading with other players. You don't necessarily have to pay a cent for anything, balance you acquired from selling your own items can be used to purchase others.

Not to mention everything you can buy/trade in Diablo is completely available in-game. GW2 will offer loads of items that are not attainable in any other way other than outright spending money on them.

@MrGrimord reading your comments i get the feeling you didnt play a single diablo game. care to explain what features diablo 2 had that 3 has not? oh and btw, there was no customization in d2, there were just a few cookie-cutter builds everybody followed. did you even play d3?
