This game can't come soon enough. I personally can not wait for release.
Any news on an estimated release date? 2012 or 2013?

@Azev

I asked Isaac about release. He laughed and said soon (tm), lol. My impression is that release is still quite a ways off since Higby mentioned the current alpha phase a couple of times.

There's still beta, though (not date on that yet either).

I know I can't wait either!!! Just so that this site will stop posting up articles about it and the game can fade off into obscurity like it inevitably will.

Release so you can fail already PS2.

Lol, fanboys downrate anytime you don't agree their game of choice will be awesome. Love the predictability of that.

I'm no fanboy, but I downrated you real fast. We downrate because you're rude. Do you honestly think comments like yours are even appropriate? You come off as a huge asshole/troll. News flash, PEOPLE DON'T LIKE ASSHOLES/TROLLS Amazing, I know.

@VisualGloss

It's not the least bit rude to say that PS2 will fail, it will plain and simple.

It also isn't rude to say I'm tired of seeing article space wasted on it.

If you can't handle other people's opinions you may want to avoid the internet.

@SnarlingWolf

All of us who downvoted you seem to disagree. We know a troll post when we see it. You act like a troll, we treat you like one. Just because you can say something and share your opinion, doesn't mean you always should. Your comment offered nothing that anyone interested in this article wants to read.

Also, you post was rude on multiple levels. It's rude to all of the people working hard on the game, people who have families and working on this game is their job. It's rude to the author of the article who put together something for people interested in the game. It's rude to all the people who wasted 2 seconds reading your troll post (and then to me because I decided to comment back! Damn troll post got me! lol). So yes, your comment was rude.

Opinions I can handle just fine. Flat out rude commenting/trolling and then coming back to post about how fanboys downvoted you, that screams troll. Just calling it like I see it. So perhaps you should just accept that you're gonna be treated like an ass when you act like an ass.

Random people on the internet mean nothing to most people, but like it or not, we see the name SnarlingWolf and that's your online persona to us. When I see comments by you I'll be less likely to take you serious if you just post rude garbage. Just some food for thought.

I still go back and play PS every once ain a while after all these years. and there still is a relatively large numbe of players on it.

I hope it's summer/fall 2012 can't wait to get my hands on it.

I do. I never spend money on f2p games but with one that looks this good I will easily cough up some cash to make myself look more badass.

There was also some scuttlebutt about a subscription option. SOE hasn't said anything official, but I would imagine they'll give "subscriber-level" benefits for the standard 15 bucks a month like they do with EQ2, DCUO, etc.

I would bet PS2 makes it onto the Station Pass also ($19.99 monthly for access to all SOE's games).

@(Unverified) like all the other "f2p" games. maybe its not pay2win but as in any other game if you realy into it you will buy stuff. once you bought one thing you will buy more. cause once invested it would be a waste of time and money to just quit it.

thats not a bad thing. i like f2p if done right. nothing wrong with selling some crap in the shop but pay2win is a nogo. doublexp and some startergear or things like that are ok with me. as long as you have a chance when you dont buy something. for me its ok to buy stuff in itemshops. i do it myself when i like a game. nothing wrong with buying some shit for 10-20€.

If SOE was smart, they'd let only subscribers have access to the offline leveling thing. That would be fair IMO.

I watched the presentation video's and it does look to have potential. Its the scale of the thing that has me somewhat excited and if they can pull it off with minimal lagging then it will be pretty epic.

Definitely one to watch.

@Jokkl Why wouldn't it be fair? Those with more time than money can still level up without the offline advantage.

Also, how can you verify your account? I still haven't been able to figure it out in the 2 years I've had this thing.

If the game is good, it will be a knockout thanks to the Forge Light engine investment.... hint, BioWare ;)
