So essentially, this is their version of WoW's Epic mount changes when the mounts got cheap, but the training got more expensive.Only in reverse. And the original model Epic mounts were retired, and new ones put into place.

@Ratham

Who said they did?

It's just funny that the game which is criticized so heavily for copying WoW, and making the same mistakes, makes a similiar change early in it's life that Blizzard did, too.

@Drakkenfyre Bioware is word for word following the script Blizzard wrote. They're attempting to do in a few months what took WoW years and an expansion or 2 to do. The only problem is that everyone has seen this stuff before and we were bored with it 4 years ago.

B.S.
go watch the "Simpson's did it" South Park episode.

just because Blizzard did one thing in the 40 years their game has been around and another game makes a design decision that is minutely similar when viewed thru WoW-colored-glasses does not mean anyone is copying anyone.

looking at this tidbit in isolation, I totally agree with you

looking at all the data, which essentially points out that SWToR is an utter WoW clone, from end to end, I cant say I agree with you.

Looking at the article itself, only the level 3 mounts are being increased in price, while levels 1 and 2 training are being decreased. So it's not the blanket mount price increase that you think it is. To be fair, the summary of the blog on this page makes it sound like it was a generic "training prices down, mount prices up" change.

to me the only reason to make money to get your speeder. If you take that away then there is zero reason to try to make money. Oh well I stopped playing this game anyway due to tremendous boredom. That goes for all MMO's out now, I am officially burnt out and waiting for the next crop to come any maybe, just maybe someone will do something different from (WOW, EQ2 ,Lotro, Rift, AoC, WAR) It has been too long playing basically the same game.

If people played MMOs for a couple of hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week, juggling their time between different games as well as doing other things than playing computer games, they wouldn't get bored or burnt out. Instead they play a new MMO for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, and then express disappointment a couple of months later when they've seen it all, done it all, and haven't got anything else to do.

The game will be made more and more easier, soon they'll make the Balloon ride last like 2 mins.

@Miffy I'd be all for that actually. That balloon ride is asinine. Anyone that disagrees should be molested by Flying Howler Wookies.

@Miffy Bring it on I hate that damn 45 minute ride it's silly. No Bioware is doing exactly what they should be doing with the economy all of these arm chair developers aren't going to be playing it no matter what they do so they need to cater to the base that is playing it.

@Vagrant Zero It's not supposed to be easy. And if you don't like it you don't have to do it.

But the thing is, it *is* easy. There's nothing hard about standing still for 20 minutes. On the other hand, if you factor in the time waiting for it to arrive, then any failed attempts at jumping off, then yeah, it could take a lot of time. Fortunately, I got it right the first time, but maybe that's also an indicator that it isn't hard to do, just time consuming.
