So nice to see a housing system that's not hooked base. I hadn't kept up on that aspect of the game. Looks great.

@Vinzix The game looks so good that I've decided not to consciously follow it. I don't want to be disappointed in any way.

Saw the video earlier, must say they seem to be trying to fit an incredible amount into the game. Those sprinkler mobile things remind me of something though, can't quite put my finger on what. *cough*

@Mendus

Yeah, that was my first thought too. :P But I do have to say they're quite reminiscent of a tube of toothpaste.

I've had a lot of fun in ArcheAge when I had a chance to mess around with my friends account. Simply put, all other MMO's are just to hold me off until the day ArcheAge comes to the West, sadly that is still a few years out at best but it will be worth the wait. Look forward to crafting, exploring and role-playing screw progression I just want to get lost in a game. ^_^

The underwater footage looked great. I also liked the housing and how they could move stuff around to where they wanted it. I hope you can setup a shop in your house to sell your stuff. That would sell me on the game right there. I wonder how long before someone in the NA picks up this game.

I was hoping one could use a team of horses to pull and farm....

...or even 1000 geese all tied up to pull....or at least one giant Chicken-Peacock!

;P

Isn't this the game that takes day long castle sieges? No thanks. Also riding those white things isn't for me. Just my opinion. The tractors are cool though, +1 for that.

Does NOT have "casual gamer" written all over it! Is there anything the devs aren't putting into the game? Pretty amazing project.

...um...facing tractors to water crops is NOT what I consider "hardcore written all over it" either. Just saying.

When you have to gather the materials, to build said tractors, gather the fuel, then fill them up with water, drive them to the crops you planted, water.

I'm pretty sure just that small factor of the game alone speaks "hardcore" as opposed to "CLICK BUTTON ON TOOLBAR. .... OK DONE"

Baloney. That's not hardcore either. Maybe time consuming, but anyone with a bit of patience can do it. Hardcore suggests only a few exclusively elite players can ever hope to accomplish it. This is clearly not the case. Nice try though.

Well, that's what you get for stating the obvious...

...if these are the types of players to play ArcheAge, I hope it never releases here. Other then that, I think this will be an awsome game...just needs to to be devoided of these downranking ex-WoW raiders to make it hospitable. /shrug

@Utakata You didn't "state the obvious", you just simply ignore the meaning of "hardcore" in a gaming context so do yourself a favor and question yourself first, Google things before writing them.

...um...do yourself a favor. Stop using terms "hardcore" and "casual" to describe a game....those terms are highly subjective, tends to lead peeps into stupid and useless arguements. Perhaps I was not hinting that enough in explaining why ArcheAge is not hardcore in the way the Fangs of the Farther quest line is WoW. (That is, you don't likely need 24 other top end geared players to build a tractor.)

You are maybe correct to suggest it's not casual either. But that is why I don't like to use those terms. And I addressed the OP of this thread as such, because I thought he/she was actually trolling. But sadly it appears many others believe in this rather archaic and obtuse concept. Which is extremely dissapointing. Because I really don't want to play a game surrounded by players with this mentallity...I seen enough of this crap in WoW.

And another note to the side: No...I am not going to look up "hardcore" on Google. Are you kidding me? I really don't want to going through a billion porn links to look up a word that fits your canned definition. You're not paying me enough to do that.

Well you have right , at least partially.
Just don't judge game by some argument on comments part of mmorpg news site.

People overall seem to be more extreme on interwebz these days.

As for ArcheAge - I doubt this game will attract alot of those 'hardcore' WoW fans you speak of.

WoW is themapark heavily oriented PvE game with lot of instances.

People won't find much of this in ArcheAge. So "hardcore" ex-WoW PvE raiders - doubt many of them will find their new home in ArcheAge.

@Utakata

Credibility was lost when referencing "hardcore" to a Cataclysm raid in WoW.

WoW hasn't been "hardcore" since Vanilla days.
