Netmarble really, really wants you to play Uncharted Waters Online -- and it's not ashamed of a little bribery to make that happen. To tempt players into giving this nautical MMO a try, Netmarble is giving every new sailor a gift pack for the next month. The pack includes basic supplies, a skill handbook, an "anti-natural disaster item," and, er, LifeSavers. Probably not the candy, though.
In addition to the novice pack, players can earn up to three additional gift packs by leveling up. If a player hits level 20 in all three main skills, he or she will even be gifted a fine new sea vessel of his or her very own.
The giveaway goes through March 21st, so if you've been eying Uncharted Waters Online, you might want to make your move sooner rather than later to get in on this deal.

This game is fun for about the first 2-3 months. Then you realize that the game is just one big endless grind. Yes, that can be said about most games, but when your main source of exp for the adventure sphere is running the same exact mission over and over for 30 levels it starts to wear you down. If you can get past that the game is actually pretty good. It has one of the best skill systems (aside from the grind) that I have encountered in almost any game. That is of course if you like sandboxy type games.

Forgot to mention this one... The game has a pretty high learning curve. That being said, it has one of the best/worst tutorials of any game I had encountered. It is VERY informative and fills you in on a lot of the game mechanics in all three spheres of skills. The down side is that is the LONGEST tutorial I have ever encountered. It would take someone a day of playing to get through all 3 spheres of the tutorial. You don't have to do it, but it is highly recommended or you will be completely lost.

Well, they may get their wish if for no other reason than I'd never heard of this game till now.
I'm always up for the occasional buckling of a swash.
