@EuchridEucrow

He does remind me of someone that was banned awhile ago from Massively...

...but it's just an unproven hunch at this point.

@EuchridEucrow

You sound upset. I take it you're still playing this game? My condolences.

@(Unverified) I can't find it either. If you click the signup link it says just Crusader Kings II Mac version, so I'm not sure if they actually allow signups yet. I haven't seen any news about it.

@(Unverified) You know, I think they may have closed it already. The original announcement was kinda hidden on their forums, and it looks like they were only taking a small number of people.

Here was the forum announcement: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?587066-Closed-Alpha-on-the-horizon!

Anyone else getting really annoyed with the games in open beta for years, with a full cash shop implemented and sometimes even getting expansions?

I know some people who complain about the preview "open beta" scheme that is being used increasingly, but at least those are brief.

@(Unverified) Pretty much because if they launch it, the tiny playerbase that's left can't use the "it's beta, of course it's buggy/crashy/generally-not-up-to-standards" card.

And it's not limited to the players; the companies as well in their PR speak. Without that beta glam they might as well close shop since potential investors would point fingers at their buggy, content-free "launched" games.
