It's been two months since Star Wars: The Old Republic launched, and players have some questions. So it's a good thing that the development team is still hosting a weekly question-and-answer session for the community, with the latest installment addressing several new concerns about future updates. Among the answers are new features that will be coming with the second major patch, including animation adjustments for cross-faction parity and tweaks to docking at planets with orbital stations such as Tython and Korriban.
There are also plans for players to gain the ability to roll on equipment specifically for companions; the Need option will be disabled unless the item in question is designed for your advanced class. Amidst all of the good news, however, there is some bad in the sense that new ship models and customization are apparently on the table -- but for much further in the future. Take a look at the full list of answers if you're interested in seeing what players can expect for new features in the near future and the slightly further future.

I dont think SWToR will keep many subs if their target customer is required to rock N.A.S.A mainframes to have large fights in Ilum with double digit FPS ...but I see they are still adamant in blaming the atrocious performance of their engine on "low end machines"
sorry BioWare but lying wont talk you outta the fine mess you are in...

8gb and a GTX 460 isnt exactly low end. I suppose if you have been listening to BioWare devs, by now you are inclined to think that rig is worse than what people have on the third world countries, but really, it isnt....
15-30 people brawls in the dedicated world PvP area arent exactly massive-ish. i'd say borderline tiny, but I guess I've been spoiled by...ionno, about any other MMO in the market, I suppose. Most dont start stuttering till getting at least 100 people on a zone...
the fact that you claim its sort of "ok" getting 10 FPS in that conditions with that specs, almost as if you were trying to break a lance for the game, is a testament to how effing poorly SWToR was done

@Fabius Bile I completely see where you saw that, yeah they are still blaming it on low end but this time they said mid line machines at the end and i can't believe they think that these people who have posted their problems on youtube showing people exactly what's happening and what type of high end machines they are using are lying somehow or just not important enough to actually admit they made a mistake with.

Never had lag issues on Ilum or elsewhere. Maybe it's just a qmatter of PC updating....

"rabid tenacious bunch" describes better the SWToR fanbois.
only those could be still defending a developer that spent a gazillion dollars on pointless cutscenes and voiceovers, then shipped a half-assed, rushed game that obviously got less than 1% of the budget destined to gameplay.

Taken them bloody long enough to figure out such a system was needed. It should of been one of the first things implemented in the game alongside the companion characters and group instances.

No
One of the first things implemented should have been you know... the actual textures...
Rofl, Bioware still deluded enough to believe their MMO is going to be anything else than the next Aion.

If you think a bunch of shiny pixels over serviceable pixels are more important than a competent loot system, then sure why not.
Then again, having the "high end" textures wouldn't stop the one lazy sith healer from rolling need on every piece of gear, no matter if it belonged to Bounty Hunter, Operative, or Sith warrior class.
And in that context, its easier for me to see which is the preferred choice, considering that is how it usually went in my experiences in the beta (not always sith healer of course).
