If you've got an active Mortal Onlne account, you may want to think seriously about changing your password. A new post on the sandbox title's forum describes a security breach that led to the destruction of in-game assets and account status changes. The intrusion has since been contained, according to a Star Vault GM, and "additional security is in place."
The company says that customer payment information was not affected, but users are encouraged to verify their account status and passwords anyway.
As to the breach itself, details are understandably scarce, but Star Vault does say that a member of the GM staff had his account compromised and his details used to carry out the aforementioned mischief.

Star Vault must have a philanthropist who has money to burn backing them, for I can't see how this sub based game can survive with the level of dysfunctionalism that appears to be displayed in this game otherwise. Either that or other sub game devs have been way too quick to kill their game or convert it to free to play. Because you know....
..."a support guy got mad and changed the password of some accounts and got access to a gm account", is just wow...completely wow. And they're still going? O.O

Between the double billing issues, the fact that they never sent out the promised working discs, the "ninja subscription" of pre-order purchasers and now this "security breach", folks would have to be crazy to give them any kind of account/bank info.

Noone is going to give these guys their money. This is the final nail in the coffin. Their largest guild rage quit, their GMs are apparently either incompetent or also ragequit, and now this.
Dead game is dead.

Looks like the security breach was much more wide spread than originally thought: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La9iJyzuOqU&

Why would you hack a game nobody plays?

Hacked my ass. Discord gave his info to someone thinking the guy was his friend and when the guy in question got mad at the game he used the info to create havok.

Seems the guy knows his way around a gm account. And the video is real everything done in the video was confirmed to happen in game. What the video does not show is all the banning he handed out.

The whole story is this.
During a siege on AQ keep. 3 AQ members were unjustly banned for using an exploit, which later GM Thiea admitted it was wrong. (Once again GMS getting involved in a siege)
After that some AQ which were mad at the banning of 3 of their members for nothing. Ran out and chat spammed which crashed everyone around them ( a bug that has been in the game since release)
After all that happened then someone most likely mad about the GMs once again interfering in the middle of a siege went crazy on multiple admin accounts.
Watching the video it looks as if he had access to an admin account before.
