I was kind of ready to blow this game off for no good reason but the heroes they seem to be choosing all seem to be solid choices, None of them make my personal list fo top Marvel heroes (exceot for Ns. Marvel on the front page of the gaame's site), but none of them are what I would call bad choices. A bit random, but anything other than bad.

I do hope they branch out into a few "not-so-recognized" characters (or just copy and paste the cast from MUA2), but I can live with this game either way.

The thing I absolutely hate about this game is that you can't be your own person. You are pigeon holed into being a premade, already established super hero. If anyone else decides to play that hero it will (most likely) look exactly the same as you. That is one thing I can't get past.

@Maseno It's a good thing then that not wanting to play this game is in no way, shape or form against the law.

You know there's three other superhero games where you can do just that, right? This one is for all the people who've complained that they wanted to be able to play an established hero.

How is it much different than when every raiding class is wearing the exact same thing in other games?

I agree there's no reason to complain about them doing it differently, since we've already got multiple games who do it one way.

The only pitfall they run into is how big of a cast they can offer. If someone can say "I can't even play hero in MUO, but I can make them in CoX/CO" then that's kind of a problem.

Which with the marvel IP would be pretty often. I mean when the Marvel MMO resurrected with Gazillion I was excited about potentially making a group/league/guild/whatever of morlock type toons....which likely isn't going to be an option.

Yeah I could play DC Universe online (and do) but its not the MARVEL Universe. World of difference. I would have preferred to create my own character but will definitely be checking this out.

@JuliusSeizure The only time anyone has complained about playing an established hero is when DCUO was announced and guess what...you can play them so your point is moot. Being able to create your on persona has been a central theme to all MMOs and for them to disregard that is just a shotgun blast to the toe.

@Oskari Wearing the same uniform, armor, etc. is not the same as literally having five copies of the exact same character (in a genre that is built on character creation/progression) fighting the same enemy at once.

Characters may wear identical clothing, but they have different names over their heads, different faces, hair, history, accomplishments, story, etc.

It's not even close to being the same.

@Metatron That said, I'm still going to check it out, and try the game before i pass judgment. Here's hoping I can finally play Doctor Strange and Kitty Pryde in a video game.

Still, can't be as bad as Reed "shut up woman and get me a ray gun" Richards.
or "Defend my wife's rapist" Hawkeye.

Psh. Give me Nova, Silver Surfer, or Thor and I'll be happy.

I always tend to like the really powerful heroes..

I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about looking the "same" They have said in various videos about this MMO that the user will have customization with the characters.
