I'll give you a hint, oh witty and original internet troll: The same amount you're being paid to post stupid comments.

@KvanCetre :) He does have a point, though. As much as I love the game, and due to my severe altitis I won't see 50 any time soon for at least another few weeks, this piece does seem like a very creative way of saying "once you reach level cap, all you can do is PvP and raid".

I truly wonder how long it'll keep me entertained at cap. I won't mind hitting the warzones if they're anything like WoW's battlegrounds, because I did enjoy that about WoW, but even PvPing can get stale after a while, and raiding is just not my cuppa.

@KvanCetre I've been to ilum, it's nothing as exciting as the esteemed journalist would lead us to believe.

pve dailys, no thanks

hard mode flashpoints, ran battle of ilum several times with friends to farm biometric alloys for crafting, skipped 90% of the npcs in there, have no idea what the story is about, got my rakata meds made though

raids, done em both, once. that was enough for me thanks.

It's fine to say you don't enjoy something. To accuse Larry, or anyone on this site of being paid by a third party company to promote their product is both childish and insulting.

I would like to clarify I was not paid by Larry, Massively, or AOL to write my message.

Give it a rest. Every single MMO out there has, at its end game, the option to 'raid or pvp'. Some have a bit of crafting and some auction house playing, but that's it. If you want more content you find things to do yourself. To accuse TOR alone of having this issue at end game is beyond absurd.

GW2, WoW, AoC, WAR, AION, TERA, etc, etc. ALL of them have raids and end game dungeons that you do once you're finished (if you don't roll an alt to experience other parts of the story). If you're going to hack on one, hack on all.

I'll do it for free, provided you also leave the site. Sound fair?

... and how do you know what the end game is like for GW2 or TERA? I want to buy that crystal ball from you.

FWIW... I agree with your statement regarding the other games though.

@Chromagnum
Considering TERA is out in Korea for a while now, it's fair to assume (from my personal view) that he doesn't need a crystal ball to tell what endgame is in TERA

Adding GW2 surely not much is known even tho I at least guess that it will indeed have some kind of dungeon/boss content as endgame and the name indicates PvP in some form playing a large role (as it did in the first game)

Hit 50, finished my Knight's story, and now I'm bored. None of the the other classes have really grabbed me (have tried 4 more, the other three, even at a cursory glance, don't look appealing), I have no desire whatsoever to raid or pvp, and there's nothing left for me to do. Funny how they put all that work into the solo aspects of the story progression, with nothing left for the solo player to do once they hit end game.

Hurry up, Guild Wars 2, you at least look like there'll always be something new going on.

@trickfred I kind of see what you are saying. But here's the thing. It's an MMO. Everything you said is what every mmo does at cap. If you aren't into end game content or pvp, I don't see why you would want to play an mmo if you don't want to raise alts

What are you looking to do in any MMO at endgame if all you do is solo?

@trickfred

Also, MMOs aren't for solo play unless you are RIFT and want to cater to the super casual. Most MMOs don't have much to do at max level unless you want to do dailies which is what WoW has you doing.

Just wait till they add more features.

All I can do to respond to this is link:

http://omedon666.livejournal.com/87288.html

An MMO community must be built one person at a time. If it can't hold the one person, it can't thrive.

@ijoemomma I think you mean every current MMO. This is why I haven't played an MMO since Ultima Online in '99. I think it's just a matter of current MMOs simply not being for me, and me falling for the 'story' hype of SWTOR's marketing.

Here we go again with the GW2 rubbish. Tell me, what exactly is there to do in GW2 that you can't do in another MMO? Even in TOR? PvP? Alt? End game dungeons and raids?

Christ. You like GW2. Great. But don't start proclaiming that somehow at end game in GW2 there's this magic land of content and things to do that are somehow different from what's available to do at end game with every other MMO.

You raid or PvP or create an alt at end game in MMOs. That's what you do if you don't want to create your own content and entertainment (which clearly you're not interested in) by thinking out of the box.
