Maybe you want to head down to the first guild summit for Star Wars: The Old Republic but just can't quite fit a trip to Austin into your budget at the moment. The bad news is that no matter how awesome your guild is, BioWare is not going to provide you a private jet. The good news is that you can still get some of the impact of the event, as portions of the event will apparently be available via livestream for those who can't attend in person.
Watching the event rather than attending might sound like a weak compromise, but according to the official announcement, players watching via livestream will be able to participate in some of the event discussions. It also looks like the streams will be covering the most important elements and highlight the developer presentations and feedback discussions. So you might not be able to take part physically in the events, but you can still get some of the feel.

Thank you! I will be watching, thank you for the ability to participate.

Seems like a cool idea. For extra coolness points they should make it like a virtual senate like in the films. When a guild asks a question/speaks they are then focused with their avatar given a holographic filter. Yes it will add nothing to the discussion itself, but it will look cool (better than simple chat) and looking cool is half the battle.

Kudos for Bioware to opening this up in such a public way. I really want this game to have legs, and I hope they address the long list of needed tweaks before worrying about listening to anything else.
I absolutely loved the single player focus of the leveling, but I felt it just didn't mesh at all with the MMO aspect of the game. Flashpoints and Ops should have been better woven right into the single player experience, along with options for those who didn't or couldn't participate in them.
Here's to hoping some good and productive developments come out of this meeting, and that it's not just a big PR fest.

Is the purpose of this to put together a committee of players like what's in Eve Online?

Blah blah, too little too late, wish they had done this 12 years ago, game's not even beta-ready, blah fart, I totally subscribed to the game but it sucks, promise, why are you defending a broken game, etc. etc.
Did I cover it all?

You forgot the part about how it's the most revolutionary game to come out in years and how it's changed the landscape of MMOs and how it's the first real next-gen MMO.

Awesome idea I just wish I could attend the summit...but this is the next best thing.

This is pretty convenient. Guild leaders will be able to partcipate in livestream just by alt tabbing over from their WoW raid to comment.
Hopefully, Bioware uses the feedback and makes improvements to the game. Swtor could become one of the best F2P titles on the market with a little tweaking here and there.

Not sure why Mtor gets down voted. The game is ... can be... fun. I was extremely hyped for it. Now, I feel like I am playing a hollow copy of what I expected. I love the story. Great voice acting. But the majority of the game is either broken or poorly implemented. If you disagree then you have no problem with the broken UI system. This side panel UI system that if your companion comes back from a mission it ruins whatever you had going on the screen, example: auction house.
Not going to list everything I have issues with. If you play the game, regardless if you love it, there are many basic mmo commodities missing from the game. They have mentioned they would work on and fix these broken features or missing tools that the community wants or expected to have at release.
Eh. I never thought, that at this time after SWTOR release that I would be spending more time playing Eve Online and Star Trek Online.
If my future self told me this. I would assume it was an spy. Han shot first.

The difference is basically that you came in, stated your dislikes in a calm and constructive manner. Mtor comes in, trolls for attention by being deliberately confrontive and adds nothing to be discussed.
Also, saying "Han shot first" would imply that Greedo actually got a shot off.

If they actually built a virtual world, they could do this whole thing in-game.
Now that would be cool.

I didn't so much mean "built a virtual world" as I meant if they, themselves actually considered what they'd built to be a virtual world.
They could have had their meeting in the senate chambers or something

You GW2/WoW "fans" are STILL at it? I lol'd.
My only question is whether or not they're inviting players that aren't Inquisitors. How they haven't received a nerf or the other classes a buff is beyond me. I imagine it's because every other person is one and we'd hear QQ as if the world had ended. I don't think I've ever seen a single class in any MMO that rage as hard as Inquistors do when they get beat.
I really hope they focus on class balance before the ranked warzones start.
