Star Wars Galaxies. And no, not any of the emulators. The real deal.

@Petter M I agree, but I will further specify pre-NGE Galaxies.

@Petter M If it was the older verison of SWG I'd come back in a heartbeat. And things like the sapce game were superb, whether old or newer SWG.

@(Unverified) I also would play SWG if it came back. SWTOR has some of the lamest playable races I've seen. All different color humans.

I used to think the same way, then I played NGE before it went dead and it was funnnnn. If they woulda left the classes alone and added alllll that content it would have been a hit.

Add me to the PreCU Star Wars Galaxies list. There has never been any game that has come close to what it was at its peak.

Absolutely. SWG should have never been killed. There is simply no other game like it right now, and I fear there never will be.

Devs were patching right up till the end and it was getting really good. :-(

I loved Tabula Rasa, still have the collectors edition coin right next to my monitor. I would most definitely play it the second it came back from the dead. It may have been missing content toward the end of the game but a little work and it would have been the best game ever.

From all I've heard Tabula Rasa is number 1 on my list to try, Auto Assault is second.

Yeah. One of the most promising new MMOs I've played in the past decade. So many things to love about it. It just needed more time for balancing and fleshing out.

NCSoft rarely screw up IMO but launching TR when they did was a tragedy. Monumentally stupid.

Sadly, why I can't see is a TR revival is their whole drama with Garriott, because it might seem like an admission that he wasn't the useless fool they tried to make him out to be.

But a mostly finished and well designed game like that with nothing similar on offer.... Another year in development and it could be a real money maker.

Gotta go with TR too.

I would love to see it come back as a hybrid game.

This can be the only answer. No other game has matched the greatness of pre-CU SWG.

greatness? I'd say that the point SWG was at before it sunsetted surpassed its original pre-CU status

Then you never played pre-CU.

I played Pre-CU, both in beta and release, and I certainly wasn't impressed, especially as a Star Wars game. Calling it some generic sci-fi title like "Economic Animal-Raiser Sims Online" would have been more appropriate.

This. Exactly this. I was there from the beginning too.

It may have been a fun game for many; it may have been a great sandbox game -- but it wasn't Star Wars, except very superficially.
