Ready for another TERA Europe beta test? You're in luck because Frogster is hosting one later today (at 2:00 p.m. EST, to be exact). The Velika server is being stress-tested, and Frogster is raising the player cap in order to see what happens when large numbers of people attempt to log in at once.
TERA Europe community manager Raven says that "you might experience lag or other issues" and that "this test is not intended to offer you a normal gameplay experience." If you're OK with that -- and you feel like volunteering your time -- head to the official forums to learn more (and set your alarms accordingly).
If you're wondering about TERA's American client, En Masse Entertainment sent word that last night's pre-test dress rehearsal "went swimmingly."

Really, really enjoying my time in this game, and the performance has been great so far.

Yeah man, My wife and I got in to the dress rehearsal hour last night, and had the most fun either of us have had in an MMO in years. We absolutely love it, and can say that if their endgame systems are anywhere near as good as their combat, this game is going to be amazing. Very excited for the weekend CBT.

It is a breath of fresh air in a genre that constantly fails to innovate and move forward.
Surprising how changing one core mechanic (combat) can make such a huge difference.

@bobfish Tera has one of the best combat systems ever. As a person who played the game, I would caution you to keep your enthusiastic in check, until the later levels of the game. I know I went through the same shit last January (2011), even payed 37 bucks for another month's sub only to only to quit 2 weeks later.

The same reason all the females look like strippers. It's the style of the game (and a ton of Korean MMO's).

Were the village people that buff? I just seem to remember moustaches.
Ok, yeah, it's turning up the sex factor, but I think it's about time the industry reached gender parity on this. The whole safely average looking male characters and super sexy female ones is just pandering to male insecurities and fantasies.

I'd rather wait until the lawsuit is settled.

Having pre-orderd and applied the beta code to my account, I would have thought that I would receive an email about any events, beta test periods or stress tests but nothing. It came and went without me even knowing. Surely they should be letting us know rather than relying on us to log into the website every day to check?

this was announced through there public channels, like twitter, Facebook, and reported to a wide range of websites, it was not intended as a game play test, and was acessable via no pre orders, for the sake of stress testing the client,
