Fansite Sandboxer.org reports that it has discovered the release date of Mortal Online's upcoming expansion The Awakening in a Star Vault report to investors. We had to do some digging to find the original Swedish document Sandboxer was referring to, but we were able to confirm that the memo does contain the expansion's release month and further as-yet unannounced information.
The Awakening is slated for an April 2012 release, with May and June dedicated to magic and balance updates. The company expects to break even on a monthly basis between July and August of this year and sign a deal with publishers in August. Star Vault's plan is to have the game published in China between July and September and then release an as-yet unannounced expansion in October, with another in April next year.

The real question would be "Mortal online is STILL online ?"

MO stock is now down to about 2 cents US per share. That is NOT hyperbole... it's their actual stock price... It has fallen from something like 45 cents a few years back.
I think the only people still in it are praying for a miracle to try and recover a tiny portion of their investment.

For the record.. if you click that link to sandboxer... the supporting document they link to is just a stock announcement for 2 US cents per share to raise operating cash. It has no mention of an expansion.

@(Unverified) That's correct, Sandboxer is linking to the wrong document. We tracked down the actual one (linked in the post above and in the sources) and translated it to verify all of the information Sandbox pulled out, and it's all true. They just appear to have mislinked their source.

I'm glad to hear that they are still moving in the right direction despite the rough beginning. I'm sure that finally getting out of the red late summer will be a huge relief for them. Also it's sad to see how much some people love to insult a company, especially a small indie one, for not being as polished or as bug free as much better funded less ambitious games. Yes, there were a lot of problems, some even serious, but at least the guys are trying to advance the genre.

Is MO the typical gankfest sandbox or can carebears play? :)

MO is a persistent world FPS shooter.... with bad hit detection, insance lag, and miniscule population.

Anyone who believes something from StarVault needs to really have a checkup. They have been saying they would break even (next quarter) for something like 9 months now.
This "expansion" is based on adding AI and a tweaked UI to the game. Most games would consider that something basic to the game and not an "expansion" 2 years after launch.
Of note.. these guys STILL did not deliver the updated functioning DVDs they sold to people 2 years ago. T.W.O. YEARS!!! Still haven't delivered on one of the business concepts... deliver what you sell to your customers.
Caveat Emptor has never been more true.

Again with the haters. This company is actually delivering something pretty damn unique on a small budget and imo the bugs that are left are not game breaking and you can really have fun in this game.
I'm glad to see they are progressing, because this game has massive potential.
The world is really heating up at the moment, pop is growing. guild rivalry and alliances are becoming large with up to 8 guilds at a time making coalitions and 2 keep sieges in the last few days.
If SV delivers these changes then they will make an already fun game truly great.
