I have problems killing the faerie dragon mobs in World of Warcraft, and any MMO that I've ever played with anime graphics, be it 2D or 3D, included mobs that I thought were just too cute to kill. It's enough to give you a complex. :P

I always felt bad killing the 'Leet's in Anarchy Online, even though they called me a n00b.

Most of the critters in WAKFU, like the Bow Meow. During my first itme in closed beta I had such a hard time leveling in the beginning because I just hated to kill those cute things.

Gotta say...I always felt bad about killing Cave-Claws in LOTRO. They made that pathetic sound when you killed them. They reminded me of Milhouse from the Simpsons.

I started to have mixed feelings about killing Skulls in City of Heroes. Especially after all the "Kill Skuls" business started up.

No matter how you try to build them up as credible enemies, Skulls are low level mobs and not all that threatening. Their little skull masks are more endearing than menacing. Some even have girlfriends. They're just kids. And the whole world really is out to get them.

Those little blue guys in TOR/the Star Wars universe. The ones that talk too cute.

Idk about cuteness serving as deterrent for the fruits of my vicious slaughter - but some things I don't LIKE to kill. I always hated having to fight/kill Dwarves, one of many reasons I usually end up on the faction which has Dwarves in most games, because I respect them . They work hard and they don't take shit, they're usually obsessed with kicking ass and drinking and kicking more ass... The last thing I want to do is stop someone that's so awesome as a Dwarf.

Come to think of it, I respect fantasy Dwarves more than I respect most people. Huh, fancy that.

Because my pet in WoW was always a cat, I avoided killing cats altogether. Funny enough, since I never do any other sort of rp in games. But every time we were aggroed by cats, I always ran like hell lol, then when getting some distance, I disentangled Spots my own cat from fighting with the wild one.

Owls in Felwood (WoW). Mostly because of the cute squeaks they made when I decide to kill them.

Lashers? I killed them by the gross back in Winterspring and thought nothing of the slaughter.
Now little baby elephants on Borean Tundra on the other hand. How could you not give them a mention?

In WoW, in Dun Morogh, there are little nests of snow leopards with a mother and three cubs. The cubs are an easy kill, grant XP, and are as skinnable as a full-size mob, making them a great way to level up low-level leatherworking/skinning. So why did I always feel so *guilty* afterwards?

FFXI had plenty of beasties like that, but then FF and maybe even the JRPG genera in general pulls that all the time >.

Also a lot of maplestory montsers are either mascot tier or otherwise adorable. And why would you want to KILL cake or pie when you can EAT it?

...how does one physically kill a living cake or pie anyway?

Republic players. There's so few of them on PvP servers, it almost feels like a crime against nature to kill the few remaining specimens.
