Of course, you might be an old hand at playing the game by now. (If not, the video is embedded just past the cut.) For those players not in need of a helping hand, BioWare has also announced the launch of two weekly features -- a blog post rounding up all developer posts to the forums over the prior week, and a Q&A session that will pull 10 questions from a community thread to be answered each week. So even if you don't need help getting into the game, you can have a little extra guidance about what's going on behind the scenes.

Bringing someone new into the world of an MMORPG can be a difficult task. BioWare is trying to make it easy for MMO newcomers to get into Star Wars: The Old Republic, and to that end the team has launched the first of a series of video guides to playing the game. The first video, narrated by Social Media Coordinator Eric Musco, covers starting fresh in the game, creating a character, and taking part in your first conversations.

The game is already linear, hand holding to the extreme and exceedingly simple to pick up once you enter. Now this? Really?...

@MMOaddict I know, right? I mean, how dare they condescend to people who might be new to a game like this, or act as if they're not all the blazing geniuses that MMOaddict is and make little videos as much for marketing purposes as for actual help?
God, these people! Bioware, amirite, ladies and gentlemen?

@Rebelyankee this is probably the most friendliest game to newcomers to the genre.

I heard this game was so cryptic and complicated that it needs tons of guides.

You guys should preface all the SWToR screenshots/videos from Bioware here with:
"Please not that all screenshots and videos shown include high resolution texture packs that are not available in consumer copies of the game."

I took this one minute ago.
Oh, wait.
There was something like 120 servers, about 7-8 were listed as "light".

@Natester21 Server population seems to have a perfect shift between US and EU servers over 24 hours.
Day / Evening in US: US populations generally seem to be about 1/3 Standard, 1/3 Heavy, and 1/3 split between Very Heavy, Full and Light. EU populations at Light.
Day / Evening in EU: EU populations generally seem to be about 1/3 Standard, 1/3 Heavy, and 1/3 split between Very Heavy and Light. US populations at Light.
It's easy to get a screenshot showing higher server loads or low server loads for whatever an article requires - just take the screenshot at either day or night.

This does qualify as frequent content updates.

@Joaquin Crowe
They released new raid bosses and a new dungeon in January. They're releasing a new raid, dungeon, battleground, the legacy system, ranked PVP, and more in March.
What WOULD you consider "Frequent" updates for a game that has been out a few days over a month now?
