TERA news is coming fast and furious lately, and luckily for En Masse, today's blurb is a good one. The game is officially available for pre-order, and as you would expect, there are all kinds of options relating to various gifts and gadgets depending on where (and what version) you purchase. There's also a bit of beta bribery in the form of automatic access to all five of the closed testing phases that begin this month and continue through April.
What about the editions?
Well, you can choose between standard, digital collector's, and physical collector's version, and the latter two come with an in-game mount and a couple of unique necklace items. The physical collector's edition justifies its $79.99 price point with a cloth map, a soundtrack CD, a handbook, a compass, and a letter of marque. En Masse is also offering a couple of exclusives for purchasing directly through its online store.

$79 for collectors edition. Now thats a collectors edition I will pay for. Its nice to see all companies are not going the $150 route like Bioware and Bethesda did.
Just waiting on it to be added to Amazon and I'll preorder.

@Rhazes
I'd much rather pay $150 for a collectors edition and know the game will still be available, than $79 for a collectors edition knowing that a lawsuit may mean I can/cannot play it.

50 bucks for the normal version? Really? I was debating on getting it (hoping to beta test before I buy) but if they're charging 50 instead of the usual 60 I'll support that. 10 bucks might not be that much but it's the principle of things!

@edgecrusherO0 So SWTOR charged $60 and now that is considered the usual?Every p2p mmo I have seen has been $50 at release.

@alucard3000 Every major PC game was $50 until Activision pushed the boundaries with MW2 to $60. Now every new PC game is going to $60 because they can.
Keep supporting Activison guys! Special circle in hell for you and them.

Access to all FIVE betas, which is kind of a precursory vision to how much testing they want, early access on the 28th, a mount and AION like items. All for 49.99, how much I was planning on spending. And if I want to spend 10 more I get ANOTHER mount, I mean comon who doesn't want a White lion mount?
Oh and most importantly for many people, early chance to create characters which is very nice. I personally will be off to go submit my list of characters now.

@Scone The beta is mostly just testing the English. It's been out in Korea and Japan...

@Scone I agree, it's a pretty low price threshold for so much cool stuff.
And y'know? Even if this game ends up not being that much greater than Aion, it looks like it will still be fun.
I bought Aion as a pre-order after participating in the closed beta, and although I don't play that game now, I don't actually regret the purchase.. I had a lot of fun while the fun lasted, so it wasn't a wasted experience.

Question: think it'll be possible to pre-order, get into the closed beta and then cancel the pre-order if the beta's crap?
