Admit it: You aren't always out just for the thrill of the experience -- you want the bling-bling to go with it. A shopping spree, with your sword playing the role of "credit card" and each corpse a potential bonanza of fashion acquisitions. That's okay; we're not here to judge you.
In fact, if fancy armor gets your motor running, Guild Wars Insider has a treat for you: two pictures of Guild Wars 2's PvP Scholar armor set modeled by a majestic Norn Elementalist. While the armor may not maximize skin coverage, the detail and design is certainly fetching.
These pictures were taken inside of the PvP lobbies, which are breathtaking environments all to themselves. The picture on the left was taken in the Battle of Khylo lobby.
ArenaNet has been rolling out the news of Guild Wars 2's PvP system ever since Gamescom last year.
[Thanks to Seven for the tip!]
[Update: Guild Wars Insider has posted up additional screenshots of PvP, pets, and even more armor.]

I can't be the only one wondering if I can shrink them down in character creation...

@Arkanaloth ~ lol totally agree and honestly.. I gotta laugh at all these people upset with the *realistic* nature of the armor sets... I mean seriously.. do you see an Air conditioner in the wilds?.. how bout in that dark an wet forrest? ~ gonna forever smell of fish!
While true, they may not be the best armor for protecting you.. one of the greatest things bout being a female in combat is your flexibility. where as men can just stand around and take a beating.. girls simply don't have too ~ so explain to me how you can run/dodge or or even keep up with the big boys wearing a Victorian dress?
at the end of the day, only prudes, white knights and the inexperienced would demand their character to wear civilian clothing during a war. XD
as for the aesthetics.. YES! girls like to look and feel pretty while kicking your ass!... get use to it :3

You don't speak for all of us. Some of us want to look like we're smart enough to dress properly for the occasion. There's a wide range of clothes between Victorian dress and Victoria's Secret, and I'm tired of developers deciding the male gaze is the only thing worth appealing to.
Last I checked, my money works just as well as a man's, so why are developers so afraid of trying to get me to part with it? Fear of girl cooties?

If you really were "smart" you'd know dressing up and IQ are two very different things.

@kalipou134 Thank you for demonstrating that you lack the latter.
Me, I just want to be able to play a female character without looking like I'm headed for my job at the local strip joint.

Yep once again straight women, and gay men, are left out in the cold when it comes to appealing armor designs in MMOs.
I have a sinking feeling, that all the males, will be covered from head to toe.
Seriously must EVERYTHING have to appeal to over/y honey, young, straight guys? Everything?

@DeadlyAccurate ~ gotta agree with *kalipou134*
The occasion you speak of is WAR! ~
Thus if you really were as smart as you claim to be.. then you would wear an outfit that doesn't restrict movement, allows for quick spell casting or weapon thrusts/parries AND doesn't get caught on branches or bog you down when running through heavy weather or wet environments.

You would also wear an outfit that actually covers and protects the vital parts of your body, which this clearly does not. Going by your logic, the best clothes to wear to battle is none at all.

Yea right...and it also exposes your heart, and all your major organs, to the blade. Not to mention if you wore it for any length of time in adverse conditions, you'd get hypothermia, or die of exposure.
...and for that matter where is the male armor? if the women are in hooker gear I demand the men wear nothing but a thong, boots, and one leather strap!

It's funny tho.. seems this community *thus far* is full of insensible people that don't have a clue how to fight or even the proper terms of engagement.
and since they can't come up with a valid argument to *dressing for the occasion of war* ~ they resort to saying it's just as bad as being nude.. yet fail to understand the fantasy setting that gear = power.. so why go nude at all?
haha.. these clueless people really made my day XD

@DeadlyAccurate I understand your point, but there are armour types in the game for just that. Take a look at these heavy armours http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Heavy_armor_render.jpg
Also some rather sensible but good looking armours here; http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Default_armor_colors_render.jpg
And some of the mens armour is just as revealing as the womens armour. So while i agree that most MMOs are pretty bad at this, i dont think GW2 can be complained bout as it is quite balanced.

Everdouche, so far your argument has been "females should dress in little clothing but it's okay for males to wear plate armor."
That's sensible?
