@jslim419 Erm... I never said it was caving in or anything like that. I just said, if someone makes a game, it's their choice what goes it in. It's not anti-gay, anti-religious, anti-atheist, anti-anything.

Oh look, more ignorant bigots being ignorant and bigoted. WHAT A SURPRISE! The irony of it all is that frequently the most vocal homophobes end up getting caught having an extramarital homosexual affair.

This takes the cake really. This group smacks of intolerance and bigotry.

Reminds me of the 80's when there was a "witch" hunt by some politicians and religious activists over Dungeons and Dragons.

@juanele

This reminds me of the Fox "News" story about "OMG FULL FRONTAL NUDITY AND SEX in Mass Effect."

@Joshua totally agree...and its not like the character in the game follows them around making inappropriate comments or anything so apparet from the person making the descision themselves there is nothing to give anything away in the game that it happend.

So they are protesting a feature that is not in the game. Not only is the feature not in the game, it hasn't been built or seen. And Bioware probably only released a vague, semi-commital statement on adding the feature to calm down the angry posts. The only thing that is going to happen from this is Bioware will sell more copies of the game. Its GTA all over again.

Every single time I hear of an organisation with the word 'Family' in it, it's always some backwards Christian group that thinks everyone should conform to their standards.

@Korbie Pretty much this. Heck, there's even an organization *called* "The Family", and they're the ones responsible for the current anti-homosexual legislation rolling through Uganda. The happy little laws they've suggested via their "Fellowship" proxies include xx years to life sentences if you aid/abet homosexuals, and executions if you are seen to be promoting a homosexual lifestyle.

It would be nice if I were joking.

It turns out this game involves *violence* as well... people die! From massive sword wounds! And explosions! One of the quests even demanded that I poison the local water supply!

I can't believe anyone would ever let this game near children...

@Wild Colors This is exactly what boggles my mind. Yes, we're fine with letting our children hack people to death with a light saber, but same gender relations?!?! Oh we couldn't let them see that! Just ridiculous!

See but this is exactly what groups like them are about. Misinformation. They play off fear and incorrect information to get attention. And people don't ever care to do their own research on a subject so they accept it as fact.

At first, I thought Mr. Perkins had a point regarding the pro-Imperial faction imbalance.

Then I realized he's just an ignorant bigot who is somehow more offended by eventual possible depictions of homosexuality than existing constant depictions of brutal murder.

I think it's a brilliant idea (the same-sex thing, not the Family group thing). I am surprised Lucas signed-off on it though. (Mind you, after the Luke/Leia incest fiasco, I guess this is small change). :D

Really....is that all they have in their agenda anymore? Is there NOTHING more pressing in this world to work on...such as hunger, disease, and oppression (oh well they got that one down, infact they are practicing it....). What ever happened to living life, and enjoying it. Curious..just when did that happen to no longer apply to life?

@Heathengamer I agree. This organization, that supposedly has our best interests at heart, is more concerned with the representation of homosexuality in a video game than problems that really exist.

Those groups are generally pretty charitable. Whatever you may think about them making an issue out of something that's not even in the game, it has nothing to do with what they may do in other aspects of life.

For example, the Catholic Church does a lot to help people in third world countries. Many Mormons go on missions to help impoverished people.

People say don't impose your morality on me, but it's a two sided debate. Morality is never one way. It's always a struggle between two opposing viewpoints where both sides think they are just and right.
