There's a lot to be learned about the setting of WildStar before the game starts in on testing, but there are also a lot of prospective players eager to learn whatever they can. So they'll probably be happy to take a look at the latest entry on the official blog, a mock-interview with the Aurin character Liara from the game's original cinematic trailer. Aside from providing some character insights, it gives a look at the Aurin as a species beyond the obvious.
The Aurin come from the forested planet of Arboria, where large ears and long tails for balance have some decided evolutionary advantages. Unfortunately for the Aurin, the Dominion invaded the planet and began cutting everything down, leading to the displaced animal-people lending their knowledge to the Exiles. It's an interesting glimpse at the game's lore for both the Aurin and for Scientists, something that several eager WildStar fans will no doubt devour with vigor.

Big fan of NCsoft and big fan of WildStar, ArcheAge and WildStar are the only two games really on my radar and I hope one of them releases soon. I can't wait for this game to launch and the more I hear about it, the more I want to play it.

@J45neoboy Okay. I can understand someone that is avoiding expensive games (I can't afford any game that doesn't promise 50 hours of gameplay minimum, or a solid multiplayer like starcraft II), yet you play a 50-60$ game with 15$ per month and you're complaining about a non sub MMO ?

Where was he complaining about a non-sub MMO? He's just saying that the launch GW2 doesn't seem to be worth the full price for him. Not everyone is over-hyped about GW2. I'll probably pick it up too, but after it drops to around the $29 or so just because it hasn't shown anything that I find special and that interesting. Different games hold different values to different people, that's it.

Exactly. I'm not complaining at all about the non-sub MMO. I bought the original guild wars and enjoyed it but I'm not really too hyped up about GW2 and can easily wait for a year or so until it goes down in price to try it out.
Also, to the others, I'm playing TOR and have no incentive right now to jump ship as I'm fully enjoying it.

It's to counterbalance the size of the breasts.

Can't do it, looks to much like a kids cartoon. Got tired of the over the top cartoonish style of WoW years ago, so I'm not wanting to embrace more of that style. Too bad too, because now I bet I'll find that the game mechanics are really solid. Murphy's Law for me strikes again.

@Celtar Meh, though I'm not a fan either, but I can live with the cartoony style if the gameplay is topnotch.
