That screenshot is terrifying. D:

I keep getting more and more excited for this game, even though I have no idea where I'm going to find room to play it in between all of my other games. It makes me nostalgic for Call of Cthulhu... I'll have to try it out for at least a month for sure.

The resemblance with that comely lass in your screenshot and my mother-in-law is just.. uncanny! and "an ancient evil" is so apt as well..

@(Unverified) It is not a sandbox game, so don't expect too much. But it has no classes and 500+ skills to choose from.

I would be excited for this game if it wasn't for Funcom. I have a sneaking suspicion they will ruin it.

Is the game still going to be sub only?

Errr...I'm actually hoping its not P2P only. I don't devote a lot of time to just one game so its a waste of money to pay a sub right now. But I would like to enjoy the experience from time to time.

And with Anarchy Online and Age Of Conan being F2Pish(Freemium), I was assuming this game would change also.

@Yellowdancer It's going to be a subscription game. Perhaps it will go F2P once they have recouped all their development costs, but I wouldn't expect to see that within the first 18 months.

I donno...I understand that in theory there is enough room for a sub game but gamers don't subscribe to theory. Not sure how they are going to do a sub. TOR, GW2, Terra, MOP, DIII, Wildstar and Planetside 2 are coming out this year. I'll even throw World of Planes, NWN and Mech Warrior in there. Its going to get crowded real quick.

Too many distractions for the ADD gamer. Well, good luck to em.

@Yellowdancer

If you want free-to-play games you have tons of them around. The pay-to-play crowd deserves their games as well.

@Gaugamela

What does that even mean? Are you saying you just like giving money away? Are you saying you would rather have a monthly sub to a crap game rather than pay nothing for a good game? I don't know about you, but I'm in the crowd of just wanting great games.

@JVJunior Anyone who knows a crap about freemium games knows that you can't just "not pay" so it doesn't matter anyway.

This highlights my main concern about SW. It's so wild and out there--will I be able to "suspend disbelief" and get immersed in it? I had trouble with immersion in Champions online I think because the world was just so far out and abstracted from any baseline reality whatsoever.
