People of Midgard, Albion, and Hibernia -- fight for glory! The call to battle is strong and never-ending, and Mythic is looking to your continued diligence and thirst for blood to keep Dark Age of Camelot's PvP raging. For its part, Mythic has delivered the latest tantalizing update to the game today, Patch 1.111.
To keep the battlefield skirmishes hot, the studio has added new RvR missions to the Frontiers. This should hopefully cause a greater amount of conflict as players strive to accomplish their tasks.
Patch 1.111 also includes a host of class tweaks (including a huge buff to Thanes), additional controllable pets for Animists, and new Atlantis quests. These quests start at level 30 and will help players garner more Atlantean Glass for their artifacts, which should help ease the pain of grinding out Master Levels.
The patch is currently live on all servers.

Thane buffs, wooooooo!
Speaking of which, why is it that 10 years later Thor's Hammers and Odin's Spears are still the most badass spell effects in any MMO ever (pre graphical nerf, of course)?

I'm amazed by DAoC's patch numbering system - in real terms, this must be Patch 986,361.02!

Thane love lol, bout 9 years late, but hey points for effort right? Next they will balance the stealth classes :|

@Resurge I hear that. It seems every toon I play is an homage to what I wish my Thane could have been. (shakes head at Ele Shaman and Sith Sorc)

Wow this game is still going? Uh, I don't know how the players live with the old graphics and archaic systems. I have tried to go back before and couldn't hang. Best of luck to them!

@Zantom
I don't play it but then again I gave almost twenty years to a text based online rpg so I can understand how good, solid, game mechanics can keep players a long time.
Something most of the current crop of games tend to do a rather shoddy job at.

@Zantom well old graphics and archaic systems don't matter if the game still has the best PvP of any MMO out there ;) Also, at least DAoC had 3 solid graphic engine upgrades over the years... more than you can say for the venerable "industry giant" ;)
on topic: YES! Blademaster buff and Nightshade nerf!!! WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO ^^

I'd pay a lot of money for a DAoC 2. Let's have it already!

Apparently DAoC2 existed, albeit briefly, but was canned so Mythic could concentrate on WAR.
'If only......' springs to mind immediately with both titles. *sigh*

@eltahin Never know, might have a dodged a bullet there!
Just think, if Mythic had instead done DAOC2 and screwed it up royally, that would be it. However DAOC is still alive and well and people are enjoying the heck out of it, meaning that the ground is fertile for a proper sequel, should one ever arrive.

Once RvR failure was appareant 1 week into SWTOR, all you saw every 10 seconds was crying out for DAOC 2. I don't understand how such a game is being denied the market when the market wants it. There's so many euros playing freeshards and north americans playing crap games, WE ARE ALL JUST WAITING FOR IT.

Yeah, it boggles my mind that they are not even attempting DAOC 2. At least Guild Wars 2 is using the formula for their WvW. Hopefully it can hold a candle to DAOC.
