Theyre waiting for Corpsegrinder to put out another alliance hating, gay bashing, nerd rage video. Alienating half your paying fans was a big hit.

While this is likely not the case, as an Alliance Player there was something... offputting... about the blatant Horde favoritism that was present in Cataclysm's story line.

Not to jump on the Blizzard hate bandwagon, but this is likely a money saving measure more than anything else.

1. WoW is losing subscribers at the moment. 2-3 million down since Cataclysm launched.

2. D3 might not be out by the time they initially envisioned it.

3. While a successful game, SC2 is not AS successful as initially hoped.

4. In tandem with #1, licensed WoW-based merchandise is likely not selling nearly as well as it used to be.

5. They probably aren't ready to reveal Titan in 2012, meaning that it is further behind than I'd expected. I'm surprised by this, given that I'd figure they'd be forced to start generating hype about it in the face of competition from Bioware and others.

After being universally panned by just about everyone for Mists of Pandaria (except the most rabid Blizzard fanboys), they probably don't want to go to the expense of throwing Blizzcon if it will be another lackluster event like last year's.

Does this mean they are skipping a BlizzCon; or does it mean they are going to postpone the next one till January 2013 instead of say November 2012?

Well, I only played Diablo 2 and WoW but I can see this about Blizzard...

They obviously want to spend more time developing games and perfecting them, even skipping a good chance to hype all their products.

People can say what they want but Blizzard is a true gaming company.

Sure, they milk the hell out of people but at least you know the product you buy from them will be fun for years to come.
