I'm a big fan of Matt Hilton (Bayohne) and Bethany Stout (Rukkirii) with he SE Community Team. They've done a fantastic job with narrowing the historically huge gap between the English players and Japanese Devs.

Definitely, this. I can't imagine how the FFXIV forums would be without their awesome CMs.

I still laugh whenever I remember Bay's "Can you send this question via Twitter? Thanks!" reply when someone complained about sending questions via twitter for the producer letter. That was awesome.

@Syesta

Bayohne, Rukkirii, and all of the Reps at FFXIV are the best!
Besides the twitter comment mentioned above, my favorite was this one:

Poster about previous Bayohne reply to a question: "Reply he gave us should not even been posted as it gives us nothing"
Bayohne: "Note to self... never reply"

Of course he was joking, but it was pretty darn funny. :D

I never minded Famine from Agr of Conan. He had to deal with a lot of negativity but at the same time wasnt falsely nice. Seemed like a straightforward poster - at least, as much as a community rep can be.

Selbina from Mabinogi. Deals with all the complaining folk well, and is always there to help. Even takes it on herself to get more information on bugs and such even if the devs dont ask.

CoH has always had some very good CMs. Very helpful on the forums, good at helping players promoting in-game events and hosting their own events. STO's are pretty good as well. Past that, I've rarely seen a CM that was anything more than a pseudo PR chump, but that could just be the other MMOs I've played.

-Everyone likes Sanya Weathers, and if you don't then shame on you. But my personal favorite is Mathew 'Berek' Anderson (who i think is still at Petroglyph) for many reasons unimportant to this post.

Here's to ya, Berek!

For me it was Tork. He saved Alganon from going into the crapper more then it did. That was till he left when Smrt took over and the real train wreck happened.

Regina Buenaobra for Arenanet gets my thanks! My dealings with all of the Arenanet CM's has always been great, but I have dealt with Regina the most.

"EatsWithSpoons" and "Wishstone" both of which were unceremoniously dumped by the worst gaming company in the business and we will forever be in the dark about why or where they went.

CuppaJo, Lighthouse, and Avatea from City of Heroes. Unfortunately all 3 have moved on to other projects, but they will always be remembered by the CoH vets.

I don't know who the Community Manager for Perpetuum is, but I'm always impressed with the communication between the developers and the players.

I think my favorite is still The Ocho, from City of Heroes. He always treated me fairly and demonstrated a very good awareness of the game and community.

I personally found that Andy Belford (Zwiilinger) of City of Heroes was the opposite - he lacked integrity, judgement, and intelligence and for some reason seemed to want to pick a fight with the community, but then I haven't looked at that community in some months so perhaps he learned his job better.

I'm mixed about Sapience with LOTRO - he is an intelligent guy, but seems cliquish with his moderation. I'm also not sure what limitations are imposed on him, but it seems his role is twofold: forum moderation and reacting to the community rather than being given a free reign to drive the community. Again, I don't know if that's his preference or the policies he has to deal with, but I wish something would change - either let Sapience flame out and be replaced or be a shining star. Either way, the LOTRO community needs real demonstrated leadership.

Collectively, I've always been impressed with the DDO community managers/team - they seem to enjoy what they do and foster a great atmosphere.
