It's a good update, now I'd like to see them spend a little time 'iterating' on some features for the highsec dweller in terms of exploration and general PVE.

But in highsec EVE is not real:

Pretty much sums up what the devs are concerned about imo.

What more could high sec people possibly want? Your beloved level 4 missions were buffed a few patches ago and you have the best ink faucet in the game with high-sec incursions. It boggles my mind how the empire carebears are *never* satisfied no matter how many goodies they are given.

If there was good PVP (mechanics) in high sec, living in null space would be pointless for a good chunk of the current 0.0 population.

If living in nullsec wasn't already pointless for a good chunk of EVE players, there'd be more folks there.

I can sum up my time in nullsec as follows: CTAs, more CTAs, waiting around in fleet for an hour before it actually gets moving, listening to power struggles on vent between folks not fit for general consumption, and more CTAs followed by nasty emails about missing CTAs.

Nullsec is broken, the status quo is necessary to maintain the little house of cards RMT that exists, and everyone wants to deflect and redirect a good hard look at the core.

Nullsec is CCP's baby, and people fighting each other over e-peen and e-pride are more likely to stay loyal and subbed to the game. Why wouldn't they want to make more incentives to turn more casuals into the hardcore dedicated core in null?

Because it's not sustainable. If that kind of gameplay appealed to a larger demographic it wouldn't be an issue in the first place.

A disproportionate amount of EVE players never leave highec, so playing to your strengths is a valid tactic. Incursions were a good start - but there is still much to do.

Fun fact - theres other things to do in high-sec than just doing missions/incursions. Like the poster said - exploration could be more interesting or rewarding - the time spent currently does not correlate with the reward in high sec imo.

I remember hearing about some types of missions you can get from a faction's agent. Pretty sure this was 1+ years after this empyrean age you speak of. Think there was also an invasion of some sort started by one pirate-like group or another, about a year ago.

Since Empyrean Age, there have been many many live events, dozens (at least) of chronicles, a book or two, epic arc missions, planets introduced to the game etc.

Granted, it' been a while since we saw empress Jamyl's coronation or the gallente kamikaze mothership during the peace summit, but in a game where the story is about the players i cannot see how or why a push for dev-made lore is better.

Great Update!!!

Eve is getting smoother to play every patch.

Technically its incredible.. now per other comments, add some LORE
A story line that supports HighSec, if no all secs, be it faction wars, gold rushes, ship-crippling tactics or whatever.

Eve is a find your own excitement environment, still its good to have some story paths to build allegiances etc.

BTW.. love the T2 AFs, it's the best part of this patch for me.
err... anything to un-clutter the screen next? no idea how thou :)
