So Statesman dies, now four "fake" statesmen will pop up, one a cyborg, one a kid, one who's black and wears armor, and one who's emotionally opposite of Statesmen. Then in a few months another Statesmen shows up wearing the original costume 'cept with blue jeans over it and turns out he's the real Statesmen who just had amnesia.

Unless you meant to type "the Lord of Arachnos", his name is Lord Recluse.

I'm glad they don't have plans to bring Statesman back any time soon; I just hope they don't give his TF to a lame character like Desdemona... I'd much rather see his granddaughter fill the gap and receive some development beyond her one-dimensional stereotype...

I agree.

Kudos to CoH for having an evolving timeline (as MMOs go). I wish Champions had done something like this to keep from getting stale.

Main issue there is the simple fact that CO's writers just didn't care. They weren't looking to build a coherent Superhero universe; they were just content with throwing in a few dumb pop-culture gags and letting it be. Events in-world would have no effect on each other

Case in point: The return of the (real) Doctor Destroyer in Resistance. This should be a big event worthy of getting a lot of mention and having an effect on the rest of the world. What actually happens? Nothing

So... Paragon Studios is apparently hiring new developers for a "(Next-Gen)" MMO. Blurb for one of the positions is as follows:

"Sr. Graphics Engineer (Next-Gen MMO)

Location:

Mountain View

"Paragon Studios is seeking a veteran Senior Graphics Engineer to contribute to the development of the graphics engine on an exciting new project..."

Is City of Heroes 2 on the distant horizon?
