Personally, I think the AFs should have received an afterburner boost instead.

So I'm looking at the list of features... and the new battlecruisers are on there? I haven't played in several months.. maybe the hype machine has mislead me but I thought they were gonna be implemented for winter 2011?

Nobody has mentioned "Alliances enter the Factional Warfare arena". Guys. This is huge. Really big news. Gonna change the landscape quite a bit I think.

Not yet, I don't think. I assume since the summer expansion is going to be based around FW, this is just something on the tech side that hasn't worked till now.

It might be huge, but nothing until summer or at least fanfest. Most alliances are doing their own thing, whatever it is, and with the state of FW i doubt there will be a decent number of them leaving lowsec/wh/indy/pve to have a go at something old and rusty.

Sadly none of this will atract new players, I know you Eve folks hate change, but this game needs adapted to form some success. It could be a great game, but the hang ups are to much.

The skill system is horrible, logging in each day to do nothing but set skill training, and log off. I'm sorry, but if the core of the game is to make game currency, that's just boring.

More ship customization; painting, ship building

Love the notion of a crew of pilots running a single vessal, several players act as gunners, someone on shields and repairs, piloting.

The game needs more structure and PVE content, this sandbox stuff is not cutting it, but hey when the servers are shut down, because the game has next to no population, don't complain to anyone.

Adapt or die.

Keep standing on your soapbox, after you've cycled thru 5 MMOs in a few years cuz all themeparks end the same. I'll still be playing EVE settling personal scores and flying with a highly organized alliance of players because EVE is not about PvE and making game money, if you think so you're doing it wrong.

No themepark can achieve the permanence that the 0.0 environment EVE has does. There is always a reason to keep going for the hardcore dedicated playerbase and that has kept it going strong for 8 years and will keep it going long after swtor or any other themepark is no longer the flavor of the moment.

Keep preaching doom, I'll still keep shooting reds cuz you fail to realize what the real draw of EVE is.

Sure keep lying to yourself, the numbers SOOOO agree with that stance. Subscriptions are still dropping (there goes that dedicated part), new accounts are slim to none. Sadly it doesn't have to be that way, it could be a game everyone wants to pick up and play, but hey that's workin right...

More ship customization; painting, ship building = sounds good

Love the notion of a crew of pilots running a single vessal, several players act as gunners, someone on shields and repairs, piloting. = not interested

Does sound like you are missing the point of EVE

Just where are you pulling your numbers from? You make it seem like the game is dying that is quite untrue. Infact there is 31,979 players logged into the game right now. Eve has somewhere in the neighborhood of 300,000 to 375,000 subscribers, http://nosygamer.blogspot.com/2011/10/so-what-is-eve-onlines-current.html. Like most games they arent straight out revelead, but despite the PR nightmare of monoclegate, and restructuring of the company last month, CCP has really done a good job on the latest expansions, and people are generally very pleased.

Eve was always a game based on slow growth, and will NEVER reach wow sub numbers, because its not a game that appeals to the casual massidiot gamer. So stop giving dumb suggestions please, EVE clearly isnt your game, go pick one of hundreds of clones out there that would be more to your liking.

And for anyone else that think EVE Is boring, your DOING IT WRONG. Put down the mining lasers, and go shoot some other players. Not having enough sp is an age old myth, you can solo in a t1 frigate and get kills in lowsec if you pick your targets carefully and are patient. Or you could join one of the many PVP corps that exsist and learn from experienced players. Eve is not a solo PVE game and never will be, once you get over that truith you will actully have fun in the game and stop being bored.

I'm not sure a bunch of carebears quitting the game count as a real decline, battles in 0.0 space have been increasing in numbers, 2 years ago a couple of hundred on each side was normal, now we peak at 1000 players per side.

My point is that even if EVE refuses to cater to casual themepark players they still have the hardcore pvp base that will stay around just to spite their enemies. Case in point:
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12204197

Short of every highly organized alliance or coalition falling apart, quitting the game en mass, and just not fighting for territory and e-pride anymore, CCP has a well oiled machine that will outlast even MMOs coming out today.

Nullsec players dont remember years by what CCP did this year or that year or what other MMO came out that they might want to play. Its about alliance A fought alliance B or alliance C died and its members moved to alliance D etc. As long as a few new players trickle into this permanent universe mentality every year then CCP still has fuel to run on. Which seems to be the case based on increasing fleet numbers.

I'm not sure about that notion.... that means going from the auto targeting systems, to manual. That might be to big of a change. I was throwing a middle ground idea that's to earth shattering.

Changing skill training system, to something that rewards work done is a biggie. The attribute mappin system is over thought complexity

New players training is still rough, need more structure here for sure. (though I will say the Eve community tries hard to help)

Ideas for ship destruction, and podding are needed (frankly speakin, I don't even have ideas) maybe make insurance mandatory? Personal experience: after a patch the autopilot bugged and sent people through PVP areas, lost my ship I purchased the day before, really bumming experience.

The focus on isk seems to much, it should be gameplay, ship customizing.
