What a load of crock. Anyone who has spent any time crafting in LotRO will already know that TURBINE limits the availability of crit-crafted gear at lower levels, by controlling the drop rate of crit components like flax fibres, etc (which THEY made difficult to obtain). All they'd have to do is increase the drop rate of crit components, and BAM, there'd be more crit gear on the AH, with the price falling accordingly.

It's insulting to both blame crafters for a situation THEY created, and then ask us to swallow their ridiculous explanation for why they are breaking their promise regarding selling stat gear.

This is total BS. And it IS game breaking if the items they are selling are not available in game and offer benefits beyond vanity . Can crafters craft or are there quests available with items that give 8% run speed boost? Last I checked the answer was no.

Turbine you are being A$$hats! I have subscrided to LOTRO and bought all the expansions and as a paying customer find it very insulting that more and more those who pay for content and gameplay are getting the shaft in favor of your fast cash item shop. This game is no longer for me.

I didn't put that stuff on the AH largely because it seemed like there was no need or desire for it. There's so little of it on there and, admittedly, a lot of it is ludicrously overpriced (no one new at level 8 has 200 silver).

Had we had any sense this was a "problem" there were plenty of in-game ways to fix it. Some were on Turbine's end. I find it bothersome that the "fix" is to charge people $5+ on gear they'll be done with in 4 hours.

There is still room for us to fix this in-game. I think the community could easily support these people who might be enticed by this garbage. If we can flood that AH with our low level stuff, particularly if it crits, and inform people about this -- then they'd have no reason to spend the money. That's what Turbine cares about. They don't care if we just complain.

I'm willing to bet that if no one buys this stuff AND we're all pissed about it, they'd be far more likely to consider not continuing this. They could then pretend they "heard the community" on it, even though it'd be 99% based upon financial reasons. Why make stuff in-game that doesn't profit?

I'm upset about this and I've said so many times on the forums. The thing is that I have a limited amount of time and interest in beating this dead horse. Turbine can and will bother to outlast many of us in this argument because they have a far bigger reason to. They know this. Paiz has basically outright said it at PAX.

I've already resigned myself to the fact that this happening and will continue to happen. I have no plans to invest in this game anymore, given that I spent most of my money trusting that they'd keep their word and not go this route. Stupid of me.

You guys don't have to worry about them selling "raid gear". Companies know that would kill any real end game but anything below would be a "possiblity" though turbine is doubtful go too far there.
